Petition. Whoever takes refuge in the Three Jewels, possesses the basis for protecting from all harm. As stated in the Sutras and the Ornament of the Sutras: If this is true, by this truth, may the Three Jewels protect me and the one to be protected, from the fear of disease, plague, foreign lands, and thieves. If one recites the name of the Victorious Akshobhya, all harm such as fear, epidemics, and so on will be pacified, as stated in the Heap of Jewels: I recite your name, I chant your mantra, please protect me and the one to be protected from all harm. If one recites the name of the Sugata Medicine Buddha, all diseases will be pacified, as stated in the two Sutras: If this is true, I recite your name, please eliminate all diseases of me and the one to be protected. If one calls upon the name of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, one will be liberated from enemies, thieves, and deceitful ones, as stated. If this is true, I constantly call upon you, please pacify all fears. Guru Padmasambhava, swift in compassion in the degenerate age, if one prays without doubt or hesitation, you promised to eliminate all obstacles and fulfill all wishes, if this is true, I have no hesitation, I constantly pray to you, placing my hope in you, please eliminate all obstacles and fulfill all wishes. Jetsun Tara, white, green, and various colored Taras, merely remembering the yoginis, it is said that the eight great fears and sixteen fears will be pacified, if this is true, I practice you, recite the vidya mantra. please eliminate the fear and harm of kings, thieves, foreign lands, epidemics and plagues, water and wild animals, swiftly like lightning, seize the protector with your hand. Whatever Mamo, Gonpo, sisters, etc., are propitiated and practiced, such as the Guna mantra and the Rudra mantra, one will be liberated from harm and fear from kings, thieves, water, and wild wolves, etc., as stated in the Golden Light and many Sutras and Tantras, if this is true, by this truth, please eliminate the fear and harm of Mamo, Gonpo, and the Dharma of me and the one to be protected. The forty-five great protectors, the thousand emanation goddesses, the Dharma protectors Hayagriva, Yamantaka, and the oath-bound mantra holders in front of Vajrapani, if the oath to protect and guard is true, we and our retinue are mantra holders with vows, please remember the oath, be our companions in protection and aid. The eight classes of arrogant ones, the Tsen goddesses, the Gur gods, etc., and all the arrogant gods and demons of Tibet.

Pray! May the future holders of the Lotus Master's lineage be blessed upon my head, accomplishing your intentions. If the promised vows are not abandoned, we, the master and retinue, will surely be the successors of the Lotus Master. Welcoming and helping, may friendship endure, possessing loving-kindness, unharmed by poison weapons and enemies. Hearing that the protection of armor is supreme among all, if this is true, I will meditate on the samadhi of loving-kindness. May all fears be pacified for me and my retinue. For the purpose of meditating on the wisdom of the Prajnaparamita, may the enemies and demons of fear and harm, all that arise from, subside there. As stated in the Hundred Thousand Verses and the Twenty-Five Thousand Verses, if this is true, I will realize and meditate on the meaning of the Mother. May the harming demons and enemies of me and my retinue, fears and harms, be self-pacified without trace. Especially the Mountain Retreat Mother and the Ash Mother, knowing their names and reciting their names, can pacify all plagues and diseases, if this is true, me and my retinue will offer to you, recite your mantras. All harms of human and livestock plagues and diseases, please perform the actions of protection, repulsion, and pacification. Surpassing a hundred protections, cutting off self-grasping, as said by the wisdom dakini beloved by a Dzokchenpa, if this is true, I will constantly carry the Kusali's gathering and so forth, cutting off obstacles. If using the excuse of cutting off karma, Wisdom Deity, you possess ten powers and ten freedoms, please repel the bad karma outwards, and bestow all virtues and karmic results here. If you do not have such power, then what is the use of the power to control karma? What benefit is there in past aspirations and compassion? What can the power of names and vidya mantras do? Would the sutras, tantras, and Buddhist teachings not become false? Will the vows of each individual's mind not decline? Therefore, please abandon laziness and indifference. Please look with your eyes, and now protect with your hands. This was at the foot of the burning nine-peaked mountain of Zangri, in the illusion of a dream at night, although some people gathered and were respectful, some monks had disasters occurring, dream omens appeared, and there were many problems inside and out, and still hearing news of continuous illnesses, therefore, from the essential point, urging the mind's true words. Namo Guru Maha Mudraye! In the great bliss of Akanishta, To the Dharmakaya Vajradhara, I pray, again and again I pray.
