He said that if all the disciples abandon worldly relatives and friends and strive to guard their own minds, then the most outstanding among my new disciples would appear. These are the answers recorded to avoid repetition regarding the various doubts about the generation stage, and the various doubts arising from the meaning of temporary thoughts due to insufficient understanding and learning. The answers to the various doubts about the two stages by Bhikshu Thabkhe Gyatso (Skilful Ocean) of Drongban at Neydo Karma Araga (present-day Daofu County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province), the completion stage part ends here. Namo Guru! The primordially pure Dharmadhatu, whose nature is pure from the beginning, The unobstructed dance of illusion transforms into anything, The one who causes the lotus garden of disciples to bloom, May the glorious light of blessings protect me! On the day I first met the venerable master, I went to listen to the teachings of Mahamudra, thinking: the so-called meditation means observing this mind of mine that always remembers what it should not remember. After observing in this way, I came to recognize the movement of the mind. After that, I followed the master for many years and received many teachings on the mind, but because I was easily distracted and lacked diligent perseverance, I did not make much progress in my practice. Even when I went into retreat, I only clung to the peace of calm abiding. After being in retreat for about a month, the previous idea seemed to become more stable. After that, unlike before, the experiences of bliss and clarity became clearer than before, so that I was without distraction during the day and even remembered them many times in my dreams. However, sometimes for a day, half a day, or even just a moment, my mind became rough and disturbed, and I did not even want to guard my own nature. Sometimes, due to the difference between tightness and looseness, the experiences of emptiness, nakedly clear, and blissfully melting arose alternately. When I reported these things to the master, he said: It is okay that there are many changes, this is a sign of progress. Do not be too relaxed and forgetful, nor be too tense, like a worm tied with thread. Like spinning thread, keep the tightness and looseness in moderation. When conceptual thoughts arise, do not think they are harmful. Know that conceptual thought itself is the essence of meditation. Guard the movement of the mind without choosing. Again, after meditating, the three experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-thought arose in the same way.

There has long been a perception that I am complete. Sometimes I mentioned that many of the above-mentioned roughness and unspeakable appearances occurred. You said that when there is no distraction during the day, is that the moment of ease and comfort? If it is a moment of experience, then impermanence will disappear? There is nothing to change, practice according to previous wishes. Even if there seems to be a change for the worse, do not be attached. This is a manifestation of experience. In short, whatever arises, maintain the nature of whatever arises. Also, in sleep and in natural darkness, flickering dots and fine spots of light also appear in front of my eyes. Does being troubled by chaotic dreams help? I asked about the differences in the length of time for direct transcendence viewing. You said that the appearance of small dots and fine spots of light at night is a sign that direct transcendence is slightly accustomed and the veins are good. Being troubled by chaotic dreams is helpful. It is said that if this continues seven times, it means that one has mastered the bardo. It is better to watch direct transcendence for a long time, but if you can't bear it, it is enough to drink a cup of tea a day. It is very important to mix rainbow light spots and practice into the nature of the mind and meditate. Also, sometimes I have an emptiness clinging that these external environments do not seem to be real. Also, when my mind is focused on one object, if I am not distracted, there is a feeling of staring at it. Compared to before, my delusions are stronger, so I prefer to be distracted, but I still feel dissatisfied. You said, do not have attachment to acceptance and rejection and likes and dislikes for good and bad experiences, but maintain an attitude of non-attachment to whatever arises. If it is a little too tense and becomes rough, then let the mind go wherever it wants, and in a relaxed and distant way, observe the nature of each thought that arises, and let them naturally calm down and liberate themselves, which is not necessary. Just like watching the scene of a big river, there is no need to watch every wave. Watching in a natural way, all the waves will merge into the water. Also, I have been doing as you said. Whenever, I will not be too relaxed. Completely different from before, I experienced a state of confusion in which there was no difference between the object of meditation, the viewer, and the viewed. Because this is different from before, I have many doubts and think that my practice method is not correct. I tried many different ways of watching, but none of them were like before, so I felt very frustrated and asked you.
