When asked, "What is the 'chod'?" The answer was, even the mere doubt of "Is this self-grasping thing not real?" can bring the benefit of completely destroying samsara. What need is there to mention seeing the essence? It is said that the first ground and realization are simultaneous. If one stays in samadhi with single-pointedness but cannot traverse the paths and grounds, what should one do? The answer was, even if one does not see the essence during single-pointedness, the samadhi will become stable. If one now has great attachment to the experience of bliss, clarity, and non-thought, one will stray into the three realms. If there is no attachment, one will not stray, and when one realizes freedom from elaboration, there will be transformation. No matter how much effort I exert, it seems impossible not to be distracted for even a moment. Compared to before, the number of dreams I can remember has also decreased. I have developed devotion to the Kagyu forefathers and to you, seeing you as the actual Vajradhara, and I have greatly increased my certainty in the common preliminaries. During the four-application guru yoga, I recite "All things are mother" and "Vajradhara's small mother," as well as "Boat-holding Mountain," and so on. What is the reason for this? The answer was, although it is not mentioned in the texts, at first, during the experience stage, one is not distracted for even a moment during the day, and one remembers many dreams. When actual realization arises, there are more times of distraction, and the number of dreams one can remember decreases. For me, it is like an obstacle to offerings. I do not know what the reason is, but Dagpo said that a slight distraction after seeing the essence does not cause an obstacle. During realization, it is impossible not to be distracted for even a moment, because no one can remain in meditation continuously. This is the Buddha's unshared dharma, so there will not be a great fault. Certainty has arisen in the preliminary practices, and there is unfeigned devotion to the guru. The prayers during guru yoga are also very good. In particular, this 'chod' is related to Dagpo. It is said that in the future, if one prays to him, meditation will arise. Therefore, mainly meditate on Dagpo during guru yoga, and constantly recite the concluding verses praising Dagpo, such as "Predicted by the Bhagavan." Also, sometimes many doubts arise, and I would like to see an example of a song of realization by the Kagyu forefathers. The answer was, the essence of all schools is Mahamudra, and even if there are disagreements about the nature of experiential realization, all Kagyu schools

This is the way it is. There were many who said that Dakpo was a nihilist, as well as the views of the Hwashang, and those who said he was Harbe. Dakpo said, "If my meditation is the unadulterated Great Seal, then let this grow on this tree." Having said that, he placed a rosary of Bodhi seeds on a dry tree trunk. The rosary dissolved into the tree trunk, and immediately the leaves of the Bodhi tree grew lush and green. In the Sutra King of Samadhi and the White Lotus Sutra, the prophecies about Dakpo are clear. In order to teach this samadhi meditation to others in the degenerate age, the Buddha arranged it this way. Therefore, have faith in Dakpo's words. In particular, having seen the nature of freedom from elaboration, now is the time to rely on the lama of the Sugata's teachings. Look carefully at the contents of the questions and answers. The previous Kagyu lineages, as if seeing them directly, will bring benefit. He also bestowed the "Collected Works of the Kagyu." Again, the main practice is as before, and whatever arises, such as the five poisons, there is no need to specifically look at them, but they are naturally liberated. Regarding the appearance of good or bad, there is no attachment of liking or disliking, but it is like neutrality. Regarding anything internal or external, there is no touching, it is like being without reliance. Someone asked, "It is good that conceptual thoughts are naturally liberated without needing to be distinguished. It is sufficient to be like neutrality without needing to identify whatever arises. Not touching anything is said to be the view of the three great ones, that the mind does not touch, so it is good." Again, is it not good to continuously maintain the non-conceptual nature? If there is no attachment, is there no fault? Someone asked, "If there is no attachment, there is no fault in continuously maintaining it." Again, someone asked, "How should one abide?" He replied, "Whether the mind abides or moves, or whatever arises, do not look nakedly at its nature, but simply remain in a state of unbroken mindfulness." When the mind is distracted, do not engage the mind with thoughts of emptiness or non-emptiness regarding the external world of container and contents, but remain in a state of non-judgment. What is this? He replied, "This is like a child seeing a temple, it is a sign of the reality of freedom from elaboration." Someone asked, "At the time of freedom from elaboration, how is it that one does not remain completely in a neutral state, but rather enhances awareness?" He replied, "This is to enhance certainty." Someone asked, "What is the difference between meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment?" He replied, "Equipoise
