Twelve is the path of accumulation, entered by one realization, so it is said. As the Wisdom Dakini said: From the time the mind first arises, until the wisdom of warmth is not born, know that it is the path of accumulation. And so on, it is divided into three: great, medium, and small. Each of these is also considered to have four. The four mindfulnesses and the four right abandonments, the four legs of miraculous power are also four kinds. The meaning of what is said, in the profound inner meaning, after knowing the key points of the channels, winds, and bindus, from the practice of Samantabhadra until obtaining warmth and above, one abides in the path of joining. And so on, in the illusory path stages of the Wisdom Dakini, the path of seeing, the non-conceptual illusion, is the path of joining because it is for the sake of joining. And so on, the great accomplished Karma said: Seeing the truth and the true meaning, the path of joining is because of the excellent joining. As it is said, there are four paths of joining: warmth, peak, forbearance, and supreme dharma are the four. The great accomplished Rinpoche, in the boundless ocean of instructions, made the expression of the five paths of joining. Here, the key point of the instructions for the five channels, winds, and wheels to be meditated upon. Dedicate the roots of virtue to the victorious ones and dedicate them for the benefit of sentient beings. In short, strive in finger gathering, vajra recitation, the fourfold wind yoga, and so on. In the inner meaning it says: This is the finger, the finger gatherer, the path possessing the four dhyanas, the channel is also said to be purified. As it is said, at this time, at the channel places of the five wheels, because the wind, mind, and elements are combined, one sees the pure lands of the five victorious families and the Buddhas of white, yellow, red, and green, and so on. Abandon pride towards them, tummo blazing and dripping Bhe, slightly attaining the union of generation and completion in dreams, is said to be the preliminary sign of the warmth of the path of joining. The clinging to the truth of the aggregates is destroyed. There is no doubt about the true meaning, and one is able to apply oneself and others to virtue. Naturally loving and not being controlled by sleep and other carelessness is the preliminary sign of the fire of the self-arisen wisdom of illusion, therefore it is called warmth. Because appearance has been decided to be mind, it is the time to practice secret conduct. At the time of both warmth and peak, the main object of meditation is the five faculties. Even if one's life is at stake, one practices without transgressing the vows, it is the faculty of faith. Continuously practicing the meaning of generation and completion is the faculty of diligence, the illusory practice is not forgotten.

Absence of other thoughts is the root of mindfulness. Without distraction from the generation and completion stages, single-pointed meditation is the root of samadhi. Discerning the nature of samadhi with wisdom, understanding its lack of inherent existence, is the root of wisdom. Glingre said, "The path of combining strength and faculties is traversed with a single thought." It is said. Then, meditate on the instructions for blending the prana with the guru-deity, blending the prana with the dakinis and dharma protectors, blending the prana with the six classes of beings. By this, the prana and mind gather in all the nadi places, and the thought arises of seeing countless buddhas, bodhisattvas, shravakas, pratyekabuddhas, dakinis, and dharma protectors. This is both a sign of the gathering of prana and mind, and the deceptive magic of demons and the pure appearances of the purification of sins and obscurations arise mixed together, so one should abandon attachment and aversion to anything that arises. At this time, one should practice dream yoga, etc., maintaining unbroken mindfulness of the illusory deity's form during the day, and at night, even in dreams, the illusory deity's form arises slightly, which is a sign of the peak. Clothes and cushions do not become stained, there are no creatures inside and outside the body, there is no miserliness or deceit, and joy in solitude arises. This is the second joining path. Then, by becoming accustomed to the practice of the three, nadis, pranas, and bindus, with single-pointed focus, one experiences the happiness of contaminated pleasure, and the body and mind are content with happiness. In the clear experience, emptiness is like the sky, like the rising moon. Quiescence is like a clear ocean. Thoughts cease, and there is only non-thought. Day and night pass in that state, and even if a buddha appears, there is no need to ask. Arrogance arises, thinking, "My state is like this, and even the previous lamas have not understood it." Even if pointed out, one doubts that they do not know my capacity, and one quotes scriptures that the disciple is higher than the master. Countless enjoyments and retinues gather, distraction arises, and the obstacles of demons enter, which is said to be the cause of falling into the heavenly realms. It is said that meditation has only grasped a bit of the edge of the middle level. At this time, one should abandon attachment to all retinues and enjoyments, like illusions and dreams. The third joining path is patience, and the fourth is supreme dharma. The objects to be abandoned in both of these are the five powers. At this time, the demons
