The true intention of the Buddha is not something that can be accomplished, sought, or found through thinking elsewhere. It resides within the continuum of all sentient beings in the three realms. Moreover, the essence of mind is emptiness, nothing is established. Emptiness is clear and unceasing. For the Buddha, it manifests as Dharmakaya and wisdom. For sentient beings, it manifests as the five poisons and discursive thoughts. Therefore, the essence of mind abiding in emptiness is the Dharmakaya itself. The energy of the five poisons and discursive thoughts manifesting unceasingly also has emptiness as its root. Because of being unceasing and self-arising, it does not abide and is naturally liberated, thus manifesting as wisdom. The essence of mind itself is emptiness, practice it as Dharmakaya. Unceasingly clear, practice it as Sambhogakaya. Manifesting in various ways, self-arising and self-liberating, practice it as Nirmanakaya. By practicing in this way, the complete fruition of the Buddha's three bodies will naturally manifest. Practice in this way! Thus it was said. In King Songtsen Gampo's advice to his father, he said: The view of great compassion is that self-born and self-manifest is the supreme of views. The emptiness of mind itself is self-born and has existed from the beginning, seeing emptiness through self-manifestation, there is no view higher than this. The meditation of great compassion is that self-born and self-illuminating is the supreme of meditation. From the state of self-born emptiness, self-illumination abides without clinging, there is no meditation higher than this. The conduct of great compassion is that self-manifesting and self-liberating is the supreme of conduct. Whatever discursive thoughts and five poisons arise, do not follow after them, rest in your own place. There is no conduct higher than this. Thus it was said. In the Great Compassion Commentary 'The Jewel Ornament' composed by the Emanation King, it says: In summary, the six faculties are the mind that grasps the appearance of objects, therefore recognize appearance as mind. Because the mind has no substance or characteristics, no form or color, recognize the mind as emptiness. Recognize appearance and emptiness as self-arising and self-liberating. Thus it says. Whether subtle or coarse discursive thoughts, do not transform, do not modify, do not stop them, relax and do not follow after them, rest in self-luminous emptiness. Just as a bubble dissolves into water, or snowflakes fall into the ocean, or sunlight shines on mist, or clouds disappear into the sky, the arising of discursive thoughts also arises from the mind, dissolving also dissolves into the mind, and existing also exists in the state of the mind's emptiness.
