Some consider it to arise from the seed syllable BHO. In the teachings explicitly stated by the Self-Arisen One and Je Drubpa, the seed syllable for the four families is HUM (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), and the four Dakinis arise in an instant. Although it is said like that, here, like a great tantra, one meditates on it as entering the womb in an implied manner. With the sound of the father and mother equally uniting, all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, heroes, and Dakinis are invited without autonomy. The father enters the mouth and dissolves into Bodhicitta, From the mother's sky, in the form of Bindus, the syllable HRIH (藏文:ཧཱི,梵文天城体:ही,梵文罗马拟音:hī,汉语字面意思:嘿) radiates in the four directions, connected to each mother, and from the four corners, Hari Nisa radiates, and they are seated on their respective seats. From that, light radiates and worships the Buddhas of each family, purifying the four aggregates and four elements of sentient beings. The rays of light from the corners purify the four birthplaces and the four extremes of permanence and annihilation. The light from the four directions establishes the great compassion of the four families and the rank of the four mothers, and the light from the corners arranges the four immeasurables, which is done for the benefit of sentient beings. When gathering back, the light gathers all the compassion and blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of each family, as well as the goddesses and Dakinis of each family, and dissolves into their respective seed syllables. When completely transformed, the light blazes brightly, the seed syllable disappears, and it dissolves into light masses of their respective colors. Therefore, each deity, that is, according to the Indian scriptures, in the east, the aggregate of consciousness is purified, and it is the nature of mirror-like wisdom, called Vajra Avalokiteshvara; in the south, the aggregate of feeling is purified, and it is the essence of equality wisdom, called Ratna family's Avalokiteshvara; in the west, the aggregate of perception is purified, and it is the essence of discriminating wisdom, that is, Tathagata family's Avalokiteshvara, which is mainly the Padma family. In the north, the aggregate of formation is purified, and it is the essence of accomplishing activity wisdom, called Karma family's Avalokiteshvara. The purification of the five aggregates and five poisons is the nature of the five wisdoms. Above, it is said that the Tathagata family is in the west. According to this reasoning, the main deity can be transferred, and the nine deities can be transformed into nine mandalas or five mandalas, or with the mother deity as the main deity, it can also be transformed into fourteen mandalas. According to the Indian scriptures, Mamaki is the mother of the Vajra family, the mandala

Although it is so in some cases, Orgyen Rinpoche said that in the sacred mandala of the hundred families, Locanā (སྤྱན་མ་, Sanskrit: locanā, Romanized Sanskrit: locanā, literal meaning: eye) is the consort of the Vajra family. Among the nine deities that appear similarly, their respective consorts are Locanā, Māmakī (མཱ་མ་ཀཱི་, Sanskrit: māmakī, Romanized Sanskrit: māmakī, literal meaning: mine), White-robed Avalokiteśvara, and Samaya Tārā, in order, blue, yellow, red, and green. Māmakī holds a jewel with her lower right hand, Locanā holds a wheel, White-robed Avalokiteśvara holds a white lotus, and Samaya Tārā holds an utpala flower. Similarly, in the ritual composed by the Fifth Dalai Lama, Chökyi Gyaltsen, it is said, "Locanā is blue in the lap of the Vajra family, and Māmakī is yellow in the lap of the Ratna family." And it is clearly stated, "In the center is the self-arisen, all-illuminating Avalokiteśvara." Therefore, the Sixth Dalai Lama also did the same. Thus, all the consorts of the four families have a peaceful demeanor and are adorned with marks and signs. In the Chinese texts, it is said that the four Ḍākinīs are at the four gates, are four-armed mothers, and stand with their legs in a stretched and bent posture. Jamyang Losal Chökyi Gyaltsen, in the self-generation of the nine Sugata deities, said, "All four Ḍākinīs are one-faced and two-armed, with their right hands holding their attributes at their hearts, and their left hands leaning on the stem of a lotus, adorned with bone ornaments, and seated in the posture of a bodhisattva." And in the same front generation, it is also said, "The four Ḍākinīs are adorned with ornaments and seated in a half-lotus posture." In the Ratna treasure of the nine deities composed by Orgyen Rinpoche, it is said that the consorts of the four families and all the retinue are only two-armed. The tantra says, "The consorts of the four families are four-armed mothers." There is no other clear explanation, and if examined, it is certain that they are two-armed mothers. Therefore, the views of the self-arisen one and the Sixth Dalai Lama are consistent, and that is the text itself. After that, the five goddesses of desire are said to be four-armed mothers in the Chinese texts, and the others are all consistently two-armed mothers, that is, other mandalas also speak of four-armed mothers and two-armed mothers, so there is no contradiction. Generally, in the 'Dod snam, there are sixteen offering goddesses, and offerings are made. In the old texts of the previous mandala rituals, it is said, "The dimensions of the 'Dod yon snam bu at the foundation of the wall, the height and width are two cubits, and the way of circumambulation."
