Among them, the third is the Upasaka (layman) of refuge: This is the root of the lineage of vows. It is said. Furthermore, with respectful body and wanting to join palms, in order to protect not only oneself but all sentient beings from all suffering, from this time until attaining enlightenment, I take refuge. The external refuge is the teacher Shakyamuni Buddha, the thousand Buddhas of the fortunate kalpa, and other teachers in the form of manifestations. The Sangha consists of the three pitakas of Dharma, the four pairs and eight types of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, namely the stream-enterer path and fruit, the once-returner path and fruit, the non-returner path and fruit, and the Arhat path and fruit, totaling eight. Also, those who practice like the solitary rhinoceros and those who practice in groups. Internally, the body of all Buddhas of the ten directions and three times is Vairochana, the speech is Amitabha, the mind is Akshobhya, the qualities are Ratnasambhava, and the activity is Amoghasiddhi and the five teachers. The Dharma is the four or six great tantras. The Sangha is the Vidyadharas who have attained its realization. Secretly, the nature of all the body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities of all Buddhas, therefore the root and lineage Lamas are the Buddha Jewel, the heart of the Great Seal of the heart essence, speaking with the speech of eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma, is the total collection of all Dharmas, the manifestation that agrees with each individual's mind, therefore the total collection of the Sangha, the precious Lama and Vajradhara are truly inseparable, and I take refuge. Yidam, Gyalwa Gyatso, Dakinis, and Dharma Protectors, I take refuge in the Three Roots. Moreover, the object of meditation is to visualize the mandala of Gyalwa Gyatso in the sky in front in an instant. Amitabha, inseparable from the Lama, is on the crown of the head, with stacked scriptures behind the main deity, and the retinue is visualized as the Sangha. Finally, the retinue dissolves into white light and merges into one's own crown. The Dharma books dissolve into red light and merge into the throat. The main deity dissolves into blue light and merges into the heart, contemplating that the Three Jewels and one's own body, speech, and mind are inseparable. One's own mind is inherently seen as Buddha, therefore it is the Buddha Jewel. This is seen as the nature of all Dharmas, therefore it is the Dharma Jewel. By whom
