With your laughter of rebuke, you conquer the gods, frighten demons and heretics, causing them to faint near death. With wondrous laughter, you subdue all, even stealing the minds of the assemblies of mamos. Jamyang Khyentse at Tsurphu divided the three categories of those with no cloaks and knives, and the three categories of great cloaks into six categories. The wisdom protector Lekden Bernakchen, the activity protector Prince Bernakchen, the worldly protector Black Horse, and the tiger riders, all the tantras clarify that their essence is the same. Such a protector, Bernakchen, is spoken of by Lord Karmapakshi: Because he protects all people and wealth, he is also the supreme among protectors. In order to control the world and bestow needs and desires like rain, he is also the supreme among wealth deities. He can subdue all gods and demons, and his activities become unparalleled.
