From the Sambhuti, the King of Tantras: Thereafter, whoever becomes accomplished as a vidyadhara will have such great qualities as these: this great earth will shake in six ways. Pleasing sounds will resound, great light will appear in all directions, and it will be like the fire of the end of an eon. In all the abodes of demons, sounds like cymbals will resound, shooting stars will fall, the great ocean will churn, and a rain of vajras will fall. The wisdom fire with the essence of mudras will blaze, illuminating the three realms. Brahma, Vishnu, the water god, Indra, the Fierce One, the Pleiades, Agni, the sun, the moon, Yaksha siddhas, Gandharvas, Kinnaras, Mahoragas, vidyadharas, ocean goddesses, and so on, and also the thirty-three gods will gather there, scattering flowers everywhere. The sounds of flutes, lutes, kumudas, cymbals, and copper cymbals will resound, and the sounds of satahas and clay drums will fill the sky. The daughters of the offering and life-sustaining medicines, and of the vidyadharas, and so on, will sing and dance, and the Kinnaras and Yakshas, and so on, will rejoice, play, and become prosperous. Such sounds will be emitted. Then the gods will abide in the sky and emit excellent sounds. The gods who dwell in Tushita, and the gods who are at the ultimate limit of Akanishta will come and prostrate, and in a respectful manner, they will shower flowers, incense, and various fragrances. In short, by the merit of the practitioner, all the offerings that exist in the three realms will be used for offering. Thus it was said. In order for such signs to appear, it is crucial that the mind is not distracted and that the mantra is pure. The teacher Vasubandhu said: Recitation and asceticism, even if practiced for a long time, if done with a distracted mind, then their fruit will become meaningless. Thus it was said. In the Questions of Strong Arms it says: When reciting, not too fast, not too slow, not too loud, and not too quiet. Not speaking, not being distracted elsewhere. The sounds of hooks, curves, and circles should not be missed. Thus it says. Just as a person holding the edge of a sword, if not well
