That is, obstructing the Dharma. Through the gate of desire, being seduced by women and others, obstructing the precepts. Through the gate of ignorance, not valuing cause and effect, acting recklessly, which is the demon of afflictions. The four elements of the body being afflicted by illness, harming the Dharma and life, which is the demon of the aggregates. The Lord of Death arriving untimely, the eighteen kinds of untimely deaths and so on, interrupting life, making one unable to practice Bodhi, which is all the four demons of the Tantric tradition. Seeing what is not Dharma as Dharma, seeing what is not the path as the path, and so on, which are evil spiritual friends and the demon of false Dharma, as well as the doctrines of heretics and so on, which are the demons who deceive with skillful means. Claiming to be Buddhas when they are not, and so on, which are the emanations of demons who disguise themselves as Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to deceive, the demons of refuge and deception. The arrogance of thinking one has abandoned afflictions when one has not, the vanity of thinking one has attained results when one has not, the self-importance of thinking one has purified obscurations when one has not, the demon deceiving one into showing signs of accomplishment when the Yidam has not been accomplished, showing signs similar to pure appearances when they are not pure appearances, saying "You have attained the ground" and so on, thereby causing one to generate arrogance. And causing one to generate joy, pride, self-importance, and so on, which are the demons of deception. The Lord of Death, Yama, disguising himself as the Yidam, saying "You will not obtain Dharma, wealth, or Buddhahood. Bodhi is very difficult and cannot be accomplished," and so on, thereby causing one to abandon the Mahayana mind and focus on the Hinayana for self-benefit, which is the demon of deceiving the renunciation of the Mahayana. The four demons of the Sutra tradition, as well as other enemies, obstacles, curses, gossip, disputes, and so on, all things that harm this life and the next, are all destroyed by that light. For example, like sunlight destroying frost, disappearing in an instant. Afterwards, that light, with the retinue of the Lord of the Karma family, including all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Wrathful Deities, Wrathful Mothers, Mahakala, Dharma Protectors, and so on, offered immeasurable offerings of the charnel ground, such as the five meats, the five amritas, and so on. The power, strength, and ability of those deities, all the fierce accomplishments, merged into the Karma family's Avalokiteshvara in the form of green and blue light. From the mouth came forth the fierce accomplishments, the essence of power and strength, dissolving into one's own heart. Wrathful Deities and Dharma Protectors

I contemplate possessing all powers. Likewise, focusing on the Samaya Tara, gather the power of wrathful mothers and glorious goddesses, etc., the female lineage of Dharma protectors. Focusing on the Taki of Karma, gather the hundred thousand hosts of Karma Mamo Dakini, the green ones. And gather the power and ability of all the fierce ones, such as the eight great charnel grounds, the Karma workers of the dwelling places, and the flesh-eating Dakinis. The sessions and so on are as before. All the enemies and obstacles of the four Maras, MĀ RA YA HŪṂ PHAṬ (Tibetan: མཱ་ར་ཡ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: मारय हुं फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: māraya hūṃ phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Destroy Hūṃ Phaṭ). Recite this, and in between sessions, dedicate the inner offering Torma, adorned with flesh and blood. By doing this, signs of victory over the Maras will be seen. On the evening of the twenty-ninth, perform a fierce fire offering. In this way, spend about a month on each of the four activities to make signs appear. There is no fixed date, and when starting, pacifying is in the east, increasing is in the south or north, subjugating is in the west, and wrathful is in the north or south, aligning with the planets and stars that accomplish each activity. The day of starting the wrathful activity and the time of ending the fire offering should be calculated for waxing and waning. During the wrathful activity, offer one red Torma to invoke the general Dharma protectors every evening. Moreover, since the visualization sequence of gathering blessings mentioned above is the recitation, it should be practiced very continuously to accomplish the four activities. The practice is the fire offering, and the mantra is applied to the activity by adding the ending syllable. Accomplishing the four activities is not only a common accomplishment, because there is no higher accomplishment than pacifying sins and obscurations, increasing merit and wisdom, subduing wind and mind, and destroying the four Maras. Incidentally, common accomplishments may also occur, as it is said, "If you seek the benefit of the next life, happiness in this life will also increase greatly." Just as when the rice crop is good, the straw also comes along. It is important to aim primarily at the supreme. If you seek happiness in this life, the next life will not be accomplished. As it is said, "If you aim only at this, it is like turning sandalwood into charcoal." Therefore, the instructions for the four activities are not only the oral instructions of the great accomplished Karma Pakshi, which naturally flowed from the close disciple lineage, but also from the Indian text of Jalandhara itself. After that, for the benefit of oneself and others, in order to accomplish the four activities, shift the focus of the activity being practiced, the ending syllable of the mantra.
