It is also the sixteen joys arising from the mother. When the twelve links of dependent origination cease, there are sixteen joys arising from the mother. Thus it is said. The two secret knots and the two crown knots each have four chakras, and the eight intermediate knots each have two chakras, so that when the knots of the thirty-two great places are released, one can magically reach each of the thirty-two outer great places. As the karmic winds of the thirty-two places gradually dissolve into the central channel, realization arises, and the essence of the bindu abides in those places. Thus, one subdues the heroes and dakinis of those places, grants accomplishments, and accomplishes activities. As each of the thirteen knots is released, one subdues one ground. The names of those grounds are, from the 'Manifestation of the Lama': 'Extremely Joyful' and 'Immaculate,' 'Illuminating' and 'Radiating,' 'Difficult to Tame' and 'Manifest,' 'Distant' and 'Immovable,' 'Good Intellect' and 'Cloud of Dharma,' 'Incomparable' and 'Possessing Wisdom,' the thirteenth is the 'Vajra Ground.' Thus it is said.

Now, all phenomena arise in the state of non-inherent existence, like waves and bubbles in the ocean, the appearance of arising stages and so on is uninterrupted, and that also dissolves into the nature of reality like waves dissolving into water. It is said that the clear and non-conceptual deity, how the conceptualization of the arising and completion stage union arises, comes from here. By diligently practicing, the illusory body, illusion, deity, and dream luminosity arise and increase inseparably, thereby manifesting the stainless direct perception and the qualities of the first ground. Here, regarding the difference between whether the qualities of attaining the ground actually appear or not, the Dagpo Kagyu school considers the non-elaborate realization to be the wisdom of the path of seeing. Sakya Pandita said, "The sun rises today, it is amazing that the rays appear tomorrow," and so on, refuting the absence of signs for attaining the path of seeing. For those who give rise to the path of seeing in this life, "The qualities appear after death, that is the great lie of fools. Such a doctrine that is inconsistent with all sutras and tantras, the wise should abandon." and so on, he extensively proclaimed. However, in the "Precious Ladder of Miracles" it says, "The garuda in the egg, similarly the lion in the womb, like the lotus bud and the blooming, the yogi's body is bound, how can qualities manifest? Having abandoned the aggregates, liberated in the dharmadhatu, the stainless awareness emerges from the mud, strength and fearlessness, etc., qualities are perfected without effort." This is how it is proclaimed. Furthermore, it is proclaimed in many Dzogchen tantras. Therefore, after the yogi gives rise to the realization of attaining the ground, even though the ground is attained, the signs of the ground do not actually appear because the body is bound. Like a lion in the womb, a garuda chick in an egg, a lamp in a vase, and an unoffered jewel, although the signs cannot be actually shown, its essence does not change. Like the smell in a place where musk has been applied, even though the musk is gone, there is still the smell of musk. Even if there are still ordinary conceptualizations and desires for food and clothing, it will not cause any harm. Because the Bhagavan and Arhats also have this. Moreover, it is not that there is nothing because the signs and qualities of others are not seen, such as how Maitreya Bhikshuni, who has become defeated, is seen by others as having afflictions, as proclaimed in the Maitreya prophecy sutra. Some think that accumulating merit for three countless eons
