Meaning. From the Profound Inner Meaning: After knowing the key points of the channels, winds, and bindus, from the practice of Samantabhadra, obtain heat, and abide in the path of joining. Thus it is said. In the Gradual Path of Illusion of the Wisdom Dakini: The path of seeing is non-conceptual illusion, for the sake of union, it is the path of joining. Thus it is said. The great accomplished Karma says: Because of thoroughly joining the seeing of truth and the true meaning, it is the path of joining. Thus it is said. There are four paths of joining, namely, heat, peak, forbearance, and supreme dharma. The great accomplished Precious One says: In the boundless ocean of instructions, there is the term for five paths of joining. Here, the essential instructions of the five chakras of channels and winds to be meditated upon are emphasized. Offer the roots of virtue to the victorious ones and dedicate them for the benefit of sentient beings. In short, strive in practices such as the retraction wheel, vajra recitation, and the fourfold union of winds. From the Inner Meaning: This is So, the retraction wheel, it is the path with four dhyanas, the channel is also said to be purified. Thus it is said. Therefore, at this time, in the channel places of the five chakras, the wind, mind, and elements are combined, and the pure lands of the five Buddha families are seen separately, as well as Buddhas of white, yellow, red, green, etc. Abandon arrogance towards them, and the blazing and dripping of tummo BHE. Slightly realizing the generation and completion stages of union in dreams is said to be a preliminary sign of the heat of the path of joining. The clinging to the truth of the aggregates is destroyed. There is no doubt about the true meaning. One is able to combine self and others' virtues. Naturally loving and not being controlled by sleep and other forms of carelessness is a preliminary sign of the fire of self-arisen illusion-like wisdom, therefore it is called heat. Because it has been determined that appearances are mind, it is the time to engage in secret conduct. In both the heat and peak stages, the main object of meditation is the five faculties, and even if life is at stake, one does not transgress the vows and practices them, which is the faculty of faith. Continuously practicing the meaning of the generation and completion stages is the faculty of diligence. Not forgetting the illusion-like practice is the faculty of mindfulness. Not being distracted and meditating single-pointedly on the generation and completion stages is the faculty of samadhi. Discerning the nature of that samadhi with wisdom, and thus knowing its selflessness, is the faculty of wisdom. Gling Ras says: The path of joining strength and faculties is traversed by one thought. Thus it is said. Then, combining the wind with the lama and yidam.

Mixing the prana with the dakinis and dharma protectors. Meditating on the instructions for mixing the prana with the six types of beings, due to the union of prana and mind in all the chakras, the thought arises that one sees many uncertain Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Hearers, Solitary Realizers, Dakinis, and Dharma Protectors. This is both a sign of the union of prana and mind, and a deceptive illusion of demons, and also a mixture of pure appearances of purification of sins and obscurations, so one should abandon attachment and aversion to any phenomenon. At this time, one can practice and increase dream yoga, etc. During the day, one should have continuous mindfulness of the illusory deity's body, and at night, even in dreams, the illusory deity's body itself will slightly appear, which is a sign of the peak. Clothes and cushions will not be stained, there will be no creatures inside and outside the body, there will be no stinginess or hypocrisy, and fondness for solitude will arise. This is the second stage of the Joining Path. After that, by single-pointedly familiarizing oneself with the practice of the three—channels, prana, and bindu—one is satisfied with the bliss of contaminated sensations, the body and mind are content with bliss. In the experience of clarity, like the rising moon, emptiness is like the sky. Serenity is like a clear ocean. Thoughts cease, and there is only non-thought. Day and night, one passes in that state. Even if the Buddha appears, there is nothing to ask, and pride arises, thinking that even the previous lamas have not realized such a state as mine. Even if introduced, one doubts that he does not know the measure of my lineage, and one quotes scriptures saying that the disciple is higher than the master. Countless retinues and possessions gather, and it is said that distraction and demonic obstacles enter, and it is the cause of falling into the heavenly realms. It is said that meditation only grasps the edge of the middle level. Here, one should abandon attachment to all retinues and possessions, like illusions and dreams. The third Joining Path is patience, and the fourth is the supreme dharma. The antidote for both of these is the five powers. At this time, the demons transform into deities and Buddhas, saying, "Your path is wrong, abandon it!" Even so, one's faith will not change, which is the power of faith. Even if the gods beg one to abandon practice and cultivation, one will not give up and will practice with diligence, which is the power of diligence. One will not be distracted from the meditation of the generation and completion stages due to distraction, which is the power of mindfulness. Whatever appears as an object of attachment and aversion,
