What kind of conduct is it? In general, the practice of Great Compassion is a conduct of continuous duration. As Gyalwa Gyatsowa Khalma said, "Without departing from that state, abide for a long time." Also, like King Indrabhuti, in the palace, with a large retinue of consorts, offering various desirable objects, visualizing oneself as the deity, and engaging in vast offerings. Or, like King Padma, engaging in conduct with characteristics for years, months, or days. Or, in a secluded cave, considering the female disciple as a mantra, urging with songs, enjoying the four joys and other desirable objects, engaging in concise conduct, like Jetsun Milarepa. After becoming accustomed to it, relying on a lineage holder and practicing, like Vajraghantapa. These three concise conducts are the conduct of great desire, which can only be done by those who have attained mastery over the channels and winds of the path of desire, and cannot be done by others. The conduct of detachment from desire is done by those on the path of liberation. Completely abandoning women, practicing in seclusion, giving up all activities other than attendants and necessities, abandoning desire for all common attainments, desiring only supreme attainment, and meditating single-pointedly on samadhi, this is extremely inactive conduct. Abandoning attachment to trivial matters such as eating, sleeping, and excretion, as well as all worldly and non-worldly activities, only practicing the emptiness of the completion stage, this is the conduct of Bhopa Bhusuku. Mixing together all good and bad circumstances, without acceptance or rejection, love or hate, this is the behavior of a madman, which is the conduct of the path of liberation. These three and six conducts are the methods of the father tantra. As stated in the Guhyasamaja Tantra. Arya Deva's "Compendium of Conduct Lamp" elaborates on this. Furthermore, guarding the three vows, practicing the meaning of the generation stage and completion stage, and in all activities, not separating from the practice of emptiness, this is the conduct of Samantabhadra, such as wind emanating from the fingertips, and Vajrasattva being able to draw water and milk. If one can do it, adorning oneself with the ornaments of a deity, taking a qualified mudra, or a daughter of a goddess or yaksha, and experiencing bliss and emptiness in a secluded charnel ground, this is secret conduct, like Jetsun Milarepa. Adorning the body with six ornaments, taking a mudra woman, and wandering in the city, outwardly

Having abandoned and reversed the disbelief of non-believers through miraculous powers, like Dombipa and Drilbupa, is the conduct of rigorous asceticism. Engaging in various inappropriate behaviors in marketplaces, large cities, among the lower castes, or in the homes of kings, such as beatings, etc., and then, through the power of samadhi, leading others to enlightenment through miraculous powers. Like the conduct of Tsangnyön and Mitra Joki's gatherings. Being able to transform poison into nectar, being sleepless, and having no acceptance or rejection of samsara and nirvana, like Phokley Namgyal, there is no distinction between what to do and what not to do, like Tilopa. These five are the conducts explained in the Mother Tantra. Furthermore, the Nyingma school of secret mantra also has eight conducts: First, being afraid of samsara and not being attached to the enjoyments of this life, fleeing to the Dharma like meat in prison. When seeking Dharma and instructions, receiving instructions from all virtuous spiritual friends with faith and respect, like the conduct of a bee. Accumulating merit through various means, like the conduct of a householder. Practicing alone, like the conduct of a wounded deer. After gaining warmth in practice, cultivating experiences without protecting one's ego or being biased, like the conduct of a madman, like Je Lingre. Having no hope or fear of samsara and nirvana, like the conduct of a lion. Engaging in conduct without distinguishing between clean and unclean in food and behavior, like the conduct of a dog and pig, like the great accomplished Sarvabhaga and Lui pa. After accomplishing one's own benefit, teaching what benefits others and doing what benefits sentient beings, like the conduct of a king. Among these, the conduct of great desire and the conduct of rigorous asceticism are the conduct of the great accomplished ones of the past, and are not the realm of practice for us nowadays. Therefore, we only mention their names here, and write about them only because we fear that the chapter would be empty. Regarding their meaning, it is said in "Vimalaprabha": A beginner should not do the actions of a yogi, a yogi should not do the actions of an accomplished one, and an accomplished one should not do the actions of a Buddha. It is also said: If a beginner only understands a little and engages in extremely unrestrained behavior, he will fall into the lower realms. Milarepa said: Because you do not know how to transform the appearance of disbelief, do not run around naked recklessly. Khrophu Lotsawa said: For the minds of ordinary people
