If one does not recognize the nature of the five elements as being pure in their own place, and clings to the consorts and attendants of one's own mind-stream, one will fall into the category of wild boars, wild horses, birds, dogs, and other wild animals. The sutras say: 'Those with deceptive appearances and deceitful minds, how can one ascertain such individuals? They are like shogam, birds, dogs, and wild animals.' Also, the Terma of the Quintessence of Definitive Meaning states: 'Without obtaining self-mastery, one distinguishes retinues and categories based on signs. Desiring to be the master and great with retinues, one falls into great excrement and shogam.' Thus it is said. Meditating on peaceful deities such as the Great Compassionate Avalokiteshvara as the unchanging and immutable A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), and embracing one's own consort with a mind motivated by desire, is also desire. Engaging with a wisdom mudra consort, if the bindu increases, but one does not know how to observe the reversal and the nature of bliss, and transform it into bliss-emptiness, allowing desire to run rampant, causing the bodhicitta to decline, and even being unable to work with the channels and winds, merely relying on the stages of visualization of the path of means, engaging in sexual activity with women, or using the pretext of bestowing secret empowerment on disciples, without gaining mastery over the channels and winds, and without experiencing the nature of the four joys, the guru and disciple both engaging in impure conduct, this is the way of the Tirthika Great Lord who speaks of desire as dharma. Because the followers of the Tirthika Great Lord believe that desire is dharma, it is also said that they will be born as womb-born worms. If one is a monastic with vows, one will be born on the Shalmali Mountain. If one is a householder, one will be born as an ugly Brahmin among the retinue of the Lord of Beings. The sutras say: 'All ornaments and attire, whatever one attributes to that, is the lineage of the ugly Brahmin body. With the five wheels of self-arisen bliss, drawing sources from the power of the path of means, indulging in desire at will, because it is not grasped by view, bliss is weak, falling into the gate of the Great Lord, wandering in samsara.' Thus it is said. The Kila and the Ging, and the eight field protectors of the charnel grounds, and the twenty-eight Murin lords of the mandala according to the Nyingma tradition, are all born from the self-manifestation of wisdom, like rays of sunlight. The yogis born from the rays of the principal deity, the twenty-eight vertebrae within the body appearing as the twenty-eight lords, and the eight consciousnesses appearing as the eight field protectors.

If one does not understand the exact meaning of the four manifestations of the four pure perceptions, then those practitioners who are outwardly pretentious but inwardly ignorant will treat enemies and obstacles like dogs hunting wild animals, and will be reborn in Bhaina as a flesh-eating yaksha woman of the charnel ground. The Sutra says: "A host of servants dominated by karma, if it is determined to be so, will fall into a host of black yakshas, and will harm the lives of others." It is said. Furthermore, even if one is rich in many qualities, but out of jealousy of the profound Dharma of others, says that this is a false Dharma, obstructs it, and causes others to doubt, then although one will not fall into the lower realms because of realizing the meaning of the essence, it is said that one will always be reborn as a yaksha. The Wheel of Bliss says: "By being jealous of the Dharma of others, even if one is endowed with many qualities, if one's own mind does not mistake the essence, one will always fall into the door of the yaksha and wander." It is said. Therefore, if one does not have the great qualities of the three trainings, but is jealous of the Dharma, then one has abandoned the Dharma, and it is difficult to be liberated from Avici Hell. Even if one has vast qualities of the three trainings, but out of jealousy slanders the Dharma of others, one will fall into the realm of yakshas. If there is no motivation of jealousy, but one prevents others from having wrong views in order to promote the Dharma, and one proclaims that one's own doctrine is superior to others in order to promote one's own doctrine, this is not jealousy, but faith in the Dharma, and therefore it is not a downfall. It is like how all the wise men of the past widely refuted the doctrines of others and established their own doctrines. Without realizing the meaning of the view as it is, one holds the pride of wrathful deities such as Hayagriva, and without the motivation of compassion, one kills with strong anger through fierce mantras, or even worse, one offers sacrifices to the gods in places such as Tsari, thinking that one can complete the accumulation of merit and attain accomplishment, and slaughters livestock to perform blood sacrifices, and slaughters chickens and pigs in Pukong, or transfers diseases and evil spirits to cattle and sheep and slaughters them, and transfers misfortune to people born in the same year and month and kills them, which is prevalent in Gyarong and other places, and similar to this, one falls into the heretical path in order to perform rituals and virtuous deeds. The Wheel of Bliss says: "Without realizing, holding onto self and mine, one says that this is the view and practice of secret mantra."
