In the dense sandalwood forest, tall thorns grow, inhabited by elephants, three-headed monkeys, tigers, lions, and venomous snakes, making it impossible for people to pass through. Beyond that lies Mount Potala, adorned with sandalwood forests and various flowers, draped with rainbow tents, and raining down flowers. Birds called Birdmasa, and many other kinds of birds, make beautiful sounds because they know how to recite the mantra of Tara. At the summit of that mountain resides the holy Avalokiteśvara. At the foot of that mountain, in a jewel palace, the supreme Tara is surrounded by countless accomplished goddesses, teaching the Dharma there. If one receives the empowerment and blessings of this Tara, all diseases will be pacified. Master Chandra Gomi said: I prostrate to you, may your blessings become medicine. Caused by elemental imbalances and demonic influences, all kinds of life-threatening diseases, I pray to you, you are the subduer, the pacifier. Glorious Sambhuti said: Tara, the Tara who liberates from samsara. By merely meditating in this way, the practitioner will attain Buddhahood. What need is there to mention other accomplishments? Because you are swift in compassion and great in blessings. In order to receive the empowerments of the various lineages of the supreme Tara in sequence, I offer the mandala. The teaching on the empowerment of Tara Who Saves from the Eight Fears. Now, I will bestow upon you the empowerment of Tara Who Saves from the Eight Fears. As it is said in the Manjushri Root Tantra: The Bodhisattva has great miraculous powers, is the tamer of sentient beings, and is known as the goddess Tara. This is accomplished without effort, she protects, saves, and conceals, increases wealth and power, and by this one accomplishes the goddess Tara. For the sake of supreme Bodhi, one should begin from birth itself. For a body filled with compassion, at that time the goddess will follow. Through the form of mantra, for the sake of sentient beings, for the sake of supreme Bodhi. Also, the Kashmiri Pandit, known as the All-Knowing Friend, surrounded by seven hundred people, while being burned in a sandalwood fire, praised his yidam deity, the supreme Tara, with sorrowful mantras in verses. In just a moment, the Holy Mother extended her hand and rained down

It fell like a yoke on the water, becoming like a lotus in the sea. Also, once a person was traveling at night on business and encountered enemies on the road, becoming very frightened and terrified, and panicked. As soon as he remembered Tara, all the enemies were subdued like slaves. A person went into the depths of the forest, and an angry elephant grabbed him tightly with its tusks, so he cried out and called to Tara. Immediately, the fear of the elephant subsided. A person was sleeping at home when enemies set fire to his house. He was startled and panicked and called to Tara. Immediately, a great rain extinguished the fire. Once a person went to sell lotuses and went into the depths of the forest, grabbing a tree branch, when an angry black snake from the tree root bit him. As soon as he remembered Tara, the snake's venom subsided. Once, the merchant Nordan was traveling on business when he encountered savages and became frightened. When he remembered Tara, all the enemies were subdued like slaves. A person went to the king's treasury to steal and was caught and put in chains in prison. As soon as he remembered Tara, he was freed from the suffering of bondage. Geshe Chandra Goma entered the ocean and the ship sank. He praised Tara with folded hands. Tara appeared and formed an island in the water. One king went to the toilet at night and was seized by evil spirits, becoming very frightened and panicked. When he remembered Tara, he was freed from the fear of evil spirits. In general, it is said that Tara protects from all fears. In particular, there is also a tantra of Tara protecting from eight fears. Among the eight sadhanas, in order to give the four rituals and the four important empowerments in order, a mandala is offered. Homage! The empowerment instruction of the Invoking Goddess practice. So, now I am going to give you the empowerment of the Invoking Goddess practice. This is the mother of Vairochana, the goddess Buddha Locana, and is an emanation of all the powerful Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. It is said that she benefits limitless beings and protects the Buddha's teachings, and is motivated by the compassion of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for the benefit of sentient beings, urging sentient beings to practice the Dharma, and urging Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas to practice the path of Bodhi, therefore she is called the Invoking Goddess.
