The red ones are also equal in number to the students. Water for rinsing the mouth. Transcendent and worldly tormas, earth deities, and preliminary tormas, of these four, the first is: Arrange in front of the mandala. Or the transcendent torma in the northeast, and the worldly torma in the southeast. These two tormas are sufficient. In practice, do the former first, then arrange the mandala clockwise in the east. Some Sakyapas say: If offerings are primary, the essence of the transcendent torma is small, and if the torma is primary, the worldly torma is larger than the essence, which is not appropriate. The General Tantra says: "The main offering should be doubled." And so on, which contradicts the statement that compared to the retinue, the main deity, and compared to the worldly, the transcendent, all offerings and tormas should be more. In the "Nomenclature of the Lama" it says: "With a counterclockwise direction, arrange the offerings." As it says, except for Hevajra, which is primarily counterclockwise, for all other offerings and tormas, except for three, arrange clockwise, and for wrathful ones, arrange counterclockwise. Some say that offerings start on the right and tormas start on the left, but this is just speculation. The torma vessel should also be made in the shape of a lotus from a skull or gold and copper. The shape of the torma, in the tantras and some Indian treatises, is said to be made of dough in the shape of a lotus to be offered, so the center is round, the tip is slightly sharp, and it is surrounded by a thumb, having the shape of a lotus, so it should be done that way. Otherwise, making various shapes such as triangles has no pure basis. The tantra says: From the Yoga Tantra downwards, in the "Vajra Mouth Samaya Dharani" it says: Dough and rice dough, honey and molasses and sugar and so on, all kinds of edible things that are without fault are mentioned. In the Unsurpassed Yoga Tantra, in the "Marrow of Instructions" it says: Dough and flour and fish and meat and garlic and onions and wine and water and milk and so on. These are all acceptable. If these are not available, both are acceptable. In the "Marrow of Instructions" it says: Or arrange dough and water and so on, whatever is available. The decorations of the torma, etc., should be offered to the Three Jewels, and the meat that one enjoys oneself should only be from those who have died from karma, as it says in the "Lamp" and the "Cemetery", and butchered meat should not be used. A torma banner is also acceptable, and in the "Essence of Wisdom" it says: The torma is decorated with umbrellas and banners and whisks and so on. These are necessary for preparation.

His implements are the preparations for performing rituals, and it is said that if the ground ritual is not performed, this is also its substitute. Second, the three preliminaries are: preliminary torma, offering descent, and mandala offering, which are easy to understand. Third, meditating on self-generation is: starting from the protective wheel of each mandala, until reciting the complete self-generation, after making offerings and praises, retracting the mandala, and entering the preparation with the pride of two hand seals. Fourth, the actual preparation has four types: ground preparation, mandala preparation, vase preparation, and disciple preparation. The first two are performed according to the rituals of each mandala. Third, vase preparation has four types: the characteristics of the vase, making the vase, the way of placing the vase, and demonstrating the method of practicing the vase. The first has three types: the material of the vase, the size of the dimensions, and the display of the classification and summary of the numbers. The first is: In the "Union Clarity" it says: Among them, gold or silver, copper or clay nature is also acceptable, whatever vase is obtained, take it and place it by a person with upright conduct. In the "Cemetery Sutra" it says: Similarly, crystal vases and precious silver, the self-nature auspicious skull cup, as well as iron, copper, and gold vases, are clearly determined to be tree-grown and earth-natured. Thus, iron and wooden vases, as well as the practice of skull cups, are also mentioned. Second is: In the "Cemetery Sutra" it says: Round sixteen fingers, multiplied by two, the height of ten fingers and two fingers are the mouth. Six fingers of the neck, eight fingers of the mouth, white like holding a rabbit, for pacifying, increasing, and subjugating, not for others. Thus, for the vases of pacifying, increasing, and subjugating, the roundness of the abdomen is sixteen fingers, the length from below the abdomen to the mouth and lips is twenty fingers, the lips hanging from the edge of the mouth are two fingers, and the length of the neck is six fingers. The length from one edge of the mouth to the other edge is eight fingers, dividing it into three parts, two parts are the cavity of the neck, and one part is the width of the two lips of the cheeks. In more detail, the material of the vase is five fingers to two-thirds of two, and the width of the cheeks is one finger to one-third of five. The size of the finger here is also the size of the thumb. The sutra says: For the containers of offerings such as crystal, the lotus jewel petals
