It will become. If you recite the single name of the six syllables, it will be the same as making offerings and pleasing all the Tathagatas. Thus it is said. In the Sutra Pitaka Arrangement, the Blessed One Shakyamuni Buddha said: Other yogis are like rice husks. Among all yogis, this king of the six-syllable lineage is like the essence of rice. Son of good family, in order to perfect the perfection of generosity, the perfection of discipline, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom. Om Mani Padme Hum. (藏文:ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओँ मणि पद्मे हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡,嘛呢,呗咪,吽!)Reciting it once will perfect the six perfections. If you recite the six-syllable mantra once, it will be the same as honoring and offering all the Tathagatas with clothes, food, bedding, medicine for sickness, and all utensils. Thus it is said. In the Sutra, the Blessed One Shakyamuni Buddha said: Those who are attached to other women and engage in sexual misconduct, commit the act of killing, kill fathers and mothers, kill Arhats, slander nuns, destroy stupas, destroy temples, and draw blood from the body of the Tathagata with evil intentions, then all the obscurations of these deeds of immediate retribution, can be completely purified from the root by this six-syllable mantra in the Sutra Pitaka Arrangement. Thus it is said. In the Sutra Pitaka Arrangement, the Tathagata Lotus Supreme praised the merits of this great six-syllable mantra, saying: Son of good family, for example, I can tell the measure of extremely small dust particles, but son of good family, I cannot tell the measure of the accumulation of merit from reciting this great six-syllable mantra once. Son of good family, I can count every grain of sand in all the oceans, but son of good family, I cannot tell the accumulation of merit from reciting this great six-syllable mantra once. Son of good family, for example, if someone builds a house that is one hundred yojanas in length and width, and five hundred yojanas in height, and fills it with sesame seeds.

Having filled it completely with mustard seeds, there is not even one child in it, and placing at its door a man who does not age or die, he spends a hundred kalpas, throwing out one sesame seed at a time. In that way, the foundation of the house, even the base, will be exhausted. Son of lineage, the accumulation of merit from reciting this great six-syllable mantra just once cannot be counted. Son of lineage, for example, if the four continents were made into fields, planting barley, wheat, rice, soybeans, cotton beans, and so on, as well as mustard and lentils and so on, in various ways. Even the king of nagas sends down a good rain at the right time, and those fruits are produced. After they ripen and mature, the entire Jambudvipa becomes a battlefield, loaded with carts, burdens, and heavy loads, and placed in that battlefield. Even if oxen and donkeys trample them into heaps. Son of lineage, I can count each fruit one by one, but son of lineage, the merit of reciting the great six-syllable mantra once cannot be counted. Son of lineage, for example, the great rivers flowing day and night in Jambudvipa, such as the Sita River, the Ganges, the Yamuna, the Indus, the Paksha, the Shataru, the Chandrabhaga, the Airavati, the Sumaga, the Himalaya, and the Kotavari, each river having five hundred tributaries, flowing day and night into the ocean. Son of lineage, the accumulation of merit from reciting this great six-syllable mantra once also increases in the same way. Then, for those great rivers, I can count each drop of water, but the merit of reciting the six-syllable mantra once cannot be counted. Son of lineage, for example, the four-legged cattle, donkeys, buffaloes, horses, and oxen, as well as dogs, foxes, goats, and livestock, and likewise lions, tigers, bears, dragons, deer, monkeys, rabbits, pigs, and mice, and so on, I can count each hair of those sentient beings, but the accumulation of merit from reciting the six-syllable mantra once, I cannot count.

Son of the lineage, for example, the mountain king called Vajra Hook, which is ninety-nine thousand yojanas wide and eighty-four thousand yojanas underground. Each side of the mountain king Vajra Hook is eighty-four thousand yojanas. On the surface of that mountain king, there is a person who does not age or die, and he wipes it once with a cloth from Kashmir. Even if he does that, it will be exhausted and become thin. The accumulation of merit from reciting this six-syllable great mantra once, I am unable to calculate. Son of the lineage, for example, the great ocean is eighty-four thousand yojanas deep, and its width is immeasurable, up to the edge of the face of a wild horse. I can split a hair into a hundred parts and count each drop of water. Son of the lineage, I cannot calculate the accumulation of merit from reciting the six-syllable great mantra once. Son of the lineage, for example, I can count each leaf of the Shirisha tree. But the accumulation of merit from this six-syllable great mantra cannot be calculated. Son of the lineage, for example, if all the men, women, boys, and girls living in the four great continents were to become seventh-level Bodhisattvas. The accumulation of merit of the Bodhisattvas is greater than the accumulation of merit from reciting this six-syllable great mantra once. Son of the lineage, for example, if it rains day and night for twelve months or an extra month, totaling thirteen months, son of the lineage, I can count each drop of rain. Son of the lineage, I cannot calculate the benefits of reciting this six-syllable great mantra once. Therefore, son of the lineage, there is no need to say more, like me, countless Tathagatas, in one place, offering them celestial clothes, food, bedding, and medicine for healing illnesses for one kalpa. Even if all these Tathagatas were offered to, they could not exhaust this six-syllable
