If, without losing the experience of emptiness, one clearly manifests as the form of a deity, that is union. No matter what kind of generation and completion stage union it is, even the smallest freedom from elaboration cannot arise. How does it appear at that time? Do not rely solely on the generation stage. All these earth, stones, mountains, containers, and contents are like the reflection of the moon in water. Although the appearance is bright and clear, the essence is emptiness itself. Clarity and emptiness are inseparable as one. There is no need to fabricate and diligently meditate; something will naturally arise. However, although good experiences may appear in that way at that time, it is difficult for them to appear continuously. Second, Ati beyond mind is when all containers and contents dissolve into the palace, the palace dissolves into the retinue, the retinue dissolves into oneself, oneself dissolves into the stupa, the stupa dissolves into Vajrapani, Vajrapani dissolves into the wisdom hero, the hero dissolves into the vajra, the vajra dissolves into the mantra garland, the mantra garland dissolves into Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit: हूँ,Romanization: hūṃ, seed syllable), and Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit: हूँ,Romanization: hūṃ, seed syllable) dissolves upwards, becoming emptiness. Then, without thinking of anything in the mind, simply watch one's own mind without being distracted by the mind. This is also the introduction to the fourth empowerment of this Wrathful Guru Rinpoche, personally taught by Padmasambhava: Son, look without distraction! At that time, in the absence of seeing any objects, one will experience a clear, naked feeling, and a feeling that cannot be expressed in words will arise. Oh, children, the nature of the mind is empty and clear, the essence is bright and clear, the reality is inexpressible and inconceivable, the door of self-arising manifestation will not be closed, it cannot be described in words, even by the Buddha, it cannot be changed by fabrication, even by sentient beings. Just awareness, just a flash, naked, clear, distinct, recognize that! At all times and in all circumstances, there is not even a hair's breadth of anything to meditate on, no moment to be distracted! Fortunate ones, experience it constantly! If realization is stable and habitual, then the realized one will quickly accomplish the yoga of space. Thus it is said. Furthermore, from the Heart Advice Wish-Fulfilling Jewel of the Wrathful Guru: When conceptual thoughts arise, without wavering the way of looking, in the state where the fundamental experience of awareness, clarity, and emptiness are inseparable, let whatever arises, arises, dissolves, and flows be naturally pure. At that time, abiding is also emptiness and without substance, flowing is also clear emptiness naked, because realization does not follow external objects, abiding and flowing are essentially without separation.

Emptiness is self-luminous by nature. Its power manifests without ceasing, yet it operates within the primordially liberated, unborn sphere. As it is said, this aligns with the teachings of the sutras, tantras, and accomplished masters. Seeing discrepancies indicates a failure to grasp the key point of the view of emptiness. How is this so? For example, someone who has never tasted an Aru-ra fruit might say its taste is bitter, astringent, and sweet. If told that such a thing is impossible—bitter and sweet being contradictory, and astringency referring to the thickness of porridge, relating to the amount of water rather than taste—they would not believe it. However, someone who has tasted Aru-ra would think, 'What you say seems true, but the bitter, astringent, and sweet qualities of Aru-ra are also true.' Similarly, if one has experienced emptiness, no matter how it is described, there will be no contradiction; it will all be true. Emptiness itself is beyond words, thought, and expression. How then to put it into practice? Look directly at your own mind, scrutinizing its essence. Though you cannot say, 'Its shape and color are like this,' you will experience in your mind, 'It feels like this.' For ordinary beginners, as soon as a fresh thought arises in the mind, search for it: Where did this first thought come from? Where does it abide in the middle? Where will it go and cease in the end? Searching in this way, you will not find it, and emptiness will dawn. This is what is meant by being free from arising, abiding, and ceasing. For the intermediate, destroy the protuberance: a thought arises prominently. Look nakedly at its essence, and it will dissolve peacefully into emptiness. For the superior, thoughts arise as meditation, like waves dissolving into water. If you meditate in this way continuously, that itself is the fierce mandala. The essence of mind abiding in emptiness is the family lord, Amitabha. The nature of mind, clear and radiant, is the Sambhogakaya, fierce Heruka Tötreng Tsal. The mind unceasing, manifesting in any way, is the Nirmanakaya, Padma Tötreng Tsal. Looking at the essence of the mind's deluded thoughts, it dawns as empty-clear, the principal deity, Buddha Tötreng Tsal. Looking at the essence of anger, it pacifies in its own place, dawning as clear-empty, is Vajra Heruka. Looking at the essence of the mind's pride, it dawns as awareness-empty, is Ratna Heruka. Looking at the essence of desire, it dawns as bliss-empty, is Padma Heruka. Looking at the essence of jealousy
