The nature of the disciple is the body of Padmasambhava of Light, White, bright, radiant, beautiful smile, adorned with jewels; Vajra skull, longevity vase, precious adornment; Lotus hat, eagle feather, khatvanga entwined on the left; Wearing a robe, brocade, silk shawl; Adorned with auspicious signs, the mandala of light is beautiful; Abiding in the lotus posture of equanimity and great bliss; A body of light, possessing the essence of wisdom; Clear emptiness, the rays of compassion equally illuminate all; In the center of the swirling dakinis and rainbow clouds; The emanations of the body pervade all realms; Like a body of space, unobstructed anywhere; Completing the splendor of all Sugatas in one body; Everything is the mandala of the Victorious Ones, completely unobstructed; Obstacles and hindrances, even the name does not exist; Manifesting emptiness, clearly arising like an illusion. From which rays of light radiate, from the palace of Padmasambhava of Light on the Copper-Colored Mountain of Glory, invite Guru Padmasambhava of Oddiyana, and the retinue surrounded by countless Victorious Ones, like a sesame pod splitting open, an inconceivable retinue. Hum! In the beginning of the past kalpa, In the northwest of the Oddiyana region, On the stem of the lotus flower pistil, Obtained the rare and supreme accomplishment, Known as Padmasambhava. Surrounded by many dakinis, I follow you in practice, For the sake of blessing, please descend here! Please bestow blessings on this supreme place, Grant me the supreme four empowerments, Remove obstacles and evil temptations, Grant supreme and common accomplishments! Om Ah Hum! Now, with devotion, please repeat this prayer after me: Four hundred and four types of diseases, twenty-one thousand misfortunes, three hundred and sixty kinds of evil spirits, eighty thousand types of obstacles, etc., all obstacles and unfavorable conditions to life, may all be purified! Now, this vase, outwardly a precious vase made of jewels, inwardly a square palace with four doors and decorations, in the center on a lotus and moon seat, is Orgyen Padmasambhava, Vidyadhara Amitayus, fully adorned. His left hand holds a vase containing the nectar of longevity, his forehead is marked with a white wheel with the syllable (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嗡), his throat is marked with a red lotus with the syllable (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, Literal Chinese meaning: 啊), his heart is marked with a blue vajra with the syllable (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽), his navel is marked with a yellow jewel with the syllable (Tibetan: སཱ, Devanagari: स, Romanized Sanskrit: sā, Literal Chinese meaning: 萨), his secret place is marked with a multi-colored vajra with the syllable (Tibetan: ཧཱ, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: hā, Literal Chinese meaning: 哈). From these syllables, rays of various colors emanate, filling the sky, gathering all the life and merit of samsara and nirvana, especially white rays like iron hooks radiate to the east, reclaiming the life wandering in the hands of the eastern Gandharvas, all the life that was taken, stolen, or plundered, transforming into shimmering white drops of light, oily and round, marked with the green syllable ཡིག་ (Tibetan: ཡིག, Literal Chinese meaning: 字), gathering immeasurable amounts of life, and gently dissolving into the body from the crown aperture. Similarly, yellow rays like ropes radiate to the south, reclaiming the life wandering in the hands of the southern Yama, all the life that was taken, stolen, or plundered is gathered. Red rays like iron chains radiate to the west, reclaiming the life wandering in the hands of the western Naga demons, all the life that was taken, stolen, or plundered is gathered. Green rays like bells radiate to the north, reclaiming the life wandering in the hands of the northern Yakshas, all the life that was taken, stolen, or plundered is gathered. Blue rays radiate upwards, reclaiming life from the gods of the form realm such as Brahma and the Mara of the sons of gods above, and from the planets and stars, all the life that was taken, stolen, or plundered is gathered. Again, rays of various colors radiate downwards, from all the Nagas, local deities, such as Nanda and Upananda.
