The king with a hundred thousand eyes, the Chakravartin, there is no one who does not die. For example, the old Lama Kathok, who perfected his practice and possessed power, his passing away is similar to the remembrance of a reincarnation. No one knows when the messengers of death will come. The three fearsome death lords with crocodile heads appeared and took away three or four monks. It is similar to what Rigdzin Wangdrak Gyatso saw. Even if one prepares to attain Buddhahood and perform rituals, the messengers of death will see it and laugh mockingly. Therefore, in the sutras, tantras, and instructions, remembering impermanence is the best of all cognitions and is taught as the beginning of all stages of guidance. The third chapter is about how Rigdzin Wangdrak Gyatso's Dharma brothers and some monks directly experienced the nature of impermanence, as remembered by the reincarnation. Then, Rigdzin Wangdrak Gyatso himself completed his life's practice, accomplishing both aims. Considering passing into Nirvana, he ended his retreat and prophesied about acting alone and other such matters. After prophesying where his next reincarnation would go, in the ultimate sense, he gathered his physical body and his mind dissolved into the Dharmadhatu of Kuntuzangpo. Because he is a Bodhisattva of the tenth bhumi, his emanations are said to appear in a hundred million forms to those to be tamed, appearing in ways that tame each of them. Showing the truth to benefit beings, the messengers of death are coal-colored, their bodies burning upwards, with wrathful appearances. Two came asking where the Lama was, entered the retreat room, and forcibly took him away. When they arrived from that valley, they could look up and see the scenery of the mountains behind them. Two monks were also taken away by death. The three, teacher and students, were taken away by the messengers of death, going, going, to the gate of rebirth in hell. They saw something like a black tent. Its gatekeeper was in the form of a fierce dog, with various weapons growing on its body. When they entered the tent, it turned out not to be a tent, but they appeared to have entered the realm of hell. Black holes, castles that are red and black, songs and darkness. As it is said, these are the gates of hell. Black tents and so on are the gates of hell, rock crevices and tree stumps are the gates of animal rebirth, and playing flutes.
