A Pure Short Biography of Good and Evil. (127) Before this kalpa, in the northwestern world, there was a kalpa called "The Kalpa of Happiness." In the teachings of Buddha Khamdru Nyenpa, a horse from a household was walking on a mountain. Because the foal didn't move much, it was placed in a cave with some bundles of grass. The foal didn't die, ate the grass and grew up, and went to a dilapidated temple. It found a silk crest, held it in its mouth, and put it on its back. It also found a bag of tea, held it in its mouth, and left. There was a lama named Lama Odnyer, who had clairvoyance. He was offered silk and tea. He also found a tree, the lower part of which was burned by fire, and the top had leaves, and offered it. The lama made an auspicious connection and said: The upper part of this tree is white, and this horse knows the Dharma in the first half of its life. The lower part of the tree is black, and this horse will not live long and will die. Also, That horse found butter, curd, yogurt, and stones, as well as a jewel shape made of clay, and a golden wheel, and the seven treasures made of gold and silver, bilva, kusha grass, and vases, and offered them to the lama in order. That lama was also very pleased. After that, a yak was walking holding a bundle of grass. The horse held the grass in its mouth, thinking of taking it to the lama to offer it, when a monk named "Chikte" threw a stone, and the yak was startled. The yak rolled off the cliff and fell into the water and died. After that, the horse also died not long after. The horse was an incarnation, the yak was Dondrup, the lama was Chakme, and the monk was Choephel. (128) Before this kalpa, it became a frog, and practiced loving-kindness, compassion, and samadhi. He taught the Dharma to other frogs. A woman named Ta, who was fetching water, put the bucket on her shoulder and saw the frog. Saying "Aza Aza," she threw the bucket. (129) Before this kalpa, it became a sparrow named Jilu. Although the Dharma was not flourishing, he knew how to practice loving-kindness and emptiness, practiced himself, and did not teach others. He said that his father was named Melu, who is now the sparrow Bumlu. (130) In a past kalpa, in the east, there was a kalpa called "Extremely Happy." In the teachings of Buddha Extremely Happy, Choephel became a faithful person. At that time, samadhi

I wish to request the Dharma of meditation. At that time, the one named རྩ་ was a hermit, meditating in samadhi and possessing the ability to see the Dharma. He offered a horse and requested the Dharma, but the hermit said, "Strike your own body with this sword, or I will not teach the Dharma." He himself struck his left hand with his right hand, severing the head of his left hand. The hermit said, "Do not speak of evil, I will give you a spear, thrust this spear into your body." He thrust the spear into himself, and the hermit said, "Truly a brave one! Now stab your own body with a knife." He stabbed himself with the tip of the knife, and the hermit said, "Truly abandoning evil and embracing virtue! Now jump into the fire, and I will teach the Dharma." He jumped into the fire, and the hermit said, "Wow! Jump from the high cliff, and I will teach you the final content." He jumped, and the hermit said, "Truly practicing!" He said, "Do not speak of evil, abandoning evil and embracing virtue, practicing, you already know. You just don't know what the meaning of ཨ་ is." After that, he was harmed by knives, spears, cliffs, etc. After that, he passed away, sacrificing his life for the Dharma. Demons created obstacles to the body and life, but because it was for the Dharma, it accumulated merit. After that, in this Bhadrakalpa, when it first formed, it became a pile of fire. The sacred Dharma was shown to these piles of fire. At that time, a shepherd named སྐྱ་ struck the pile of fire with a slingshot, and the pile of fire was extinguished. (131) After that, he was born as a person named ཏོད་འགོར, possessing great compassion and natural samadhi. The skull of his dead body was eaten by a dog. Although that dog was a meat dog, it avoided harming other beings and wild animals. That dog is now རཱ་ག་ཨ་སྱ་, and eating the skull is the seventh incarnation of flesh. (132) After that, he was born as a mule, although he was not good at preaching the sacred Dharma to others, he knew how to practice his own compassion and emptiness. རཱ་ག་ཨ་སྱ་ was reborn as a horse, and བྱིས་སྦ་ was reborn as a sheep, and these three lived together. The owner named ཙག་སྟེ་, and the Dharma increased. (133) After that, he was born as a ram, preaching the sacred Dharma to the mothers. རཱ་ག་ཨ་སྱ་ were reborn together as a horse. When that sheep was bringing water, a person named གསེར་འོད་ killed it with a stone. གསེར་འོད་ is now named སྐྱ་. (130) After that, he was born as a horse, possessing natural compassion and practicing samadhi. Other horses
