出自《供灯经》：供灯的果报是这样，临终之时不会丧失正念，他所处的各个方向都会变得明亮，还会看到以前从未见过的美好景象。此人死后必定往生天界，并且知道自己的身体安住在天神的住所。向大仙的佛塔供灯，会拥有广为人知的财富，出生于具备殊胜功德、极其优越的家庭。出生之后，便能忆起前世。会拥有圆满的侍从，具备殊胜的福德。向善逝佛塔供灯，他所造的业，会使他成为拥有强大力量的转轮王，拥有令人愉悦的美好形象，人见人爱。他所造的业，会使他长寿，完全清净且安乐，他的身体不会出现疾病的痛苦，这就是供灯的果报。以灯供养善逝，不会遭受盗贼之灾，没有国王的惩罚，没有刽子手，妻子不会生下畸形儿。他的身体永远不会弯曲，安乐且五谷丰登，没有任何恐惧，恒常富裕，拥有美好的财富和粮食。他会拥有绝佳的花园和花环，花园和树木上装饰着各种各样的树叶。他会见到世间的主尊——佛陀，见到之后会非常欢喜，他会以恭敬心供养他们。舍弃王位，依止于比丘。对具有无量赞叹、无量目光、无量智慧的善逝佛塔，供灯会获得无量智慧，如同灯一样照亮所有方向。以大灯照亮殊胜的释迦牟尼佛塔，以清净的眼睛，获得远离尘垢、无有烦恼的菩提，如同灯一样照亮十方。向善逝佛塔供灯，会具有解脱的智慧，具备十种力量，同样通达无杂的波罗蜜多，成为具足一切眼目的善逝。如是宣说，因此在如意宝塔等处，涌现出许多竖立经幡之人。其利益出自《意集根本续》中：是使风马兴盛的殊胜之法。如是说。

From the Sutra of Offering Lamps: The result of offering lamps is such that at the time of death, one will not lose mindfulness, and all directions will become bright. One will also see beautiful sights never seen before. After death, this person will surely be reborn in the heavens and will know that their body resides in the abode of the gods. Offering lamps to the stupa of the Great Sage will result in possessing well-known wealth and being born into a family with excellent qualities and supreme advantages. After birth, one will remember past lives. One will have perfect attendants and possess supreme merit. Offering lamps to the stupa of the Sugata will cause one to become a powerful Chakravartin king with a pleasing and beautiful form, delightful to behold. The karma created by this will lead to a long life, complete purity, and happiness. One's body will not show signs of illness. This is the result of offering lamps. By offering lamps to the Sugata, one will not suffer from thieves, will not be punished by the king, will not have executioners, and one's wife will not give birth to deformed children. One's body will never be bent, one will be happy and have abundant harvests, without any fear, constantly wealthy, and possess excellent riches and grains. One will have excellent gardens and garlands, and the gardens and trees will be adorned with various kinds of leaves. One will see the Lord of the World, the Buddha, and after seeing him, one will be very happy and will offer to them with reverence. Renouncing the kingdom, one will rely on the Bhikshu. Offering lamps to the stupa of the Sugata, who has infinite praise, infinite vision, and infinite wisdom, will result in obtaining infinite wisdom, illuminating all directions like a lamp. By illuminating the supreme Shakyamuni stupa with a great lamp, with pure eyes, one will attain bodhi free from dust and without defilements, illuminating all ten directions like a lamp. Offering lamps to the stupa of the Sugata will result in having the wisdom of liberation, possessing the ten powers, and similarly mastering the unmixed Paramitas, becoming a Sugata with all-seeing eyes. Thus it is said, and therefore, in places like the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Tower, many people have emerged who erect prayer flags. Its benefits come from the Root Tantra of the Collected Intentions: It is the supreme method for making the wind horse flourish. Thus it is said.

Possessing color, the form is perfect, Adorned with excellent marks, And will possess power and strength. He will not become lazy, He will become rich and possess great wealth, Endowed with merit and without thieves. Having pleased the lamp of the world, He will be respected and served again and again. He will be born into the house of a merchant and be adorned, And will be born among the rich. He will become brave and a master of generosity, Generous and without stinginess. Even within the surrounding ocean, Whatever is shown on all the lands, The four continents, the supreme lord of speech. The king will become endowed with Dharma, The Chakravartin will have great miraculous powers, Will possess the seven precious things. From the position of kingship, to the Buddha, Again and again, respect and service are performed. Having passed away from here, to the higher realms, Having gone, faith arises in the Buddha's teachings. Becoming the lord of the peak of Mount Meru, Becoming Indra, the lord of the gods. If someone were to respect and serve billions of hundreds of thousands of kotis of Buddhas, For billions of hundreds of thousands of kalpas, It is better than someone in this degenerate age, To prostrate to a stupa, that person's merit is even greater. As it is said, therefore prostrations and circumambulations, As well as reciting mani, retreat, taking vows of virtue, etc., Depending on the sacred place, immeasurable benefit for beings occurs, This is greater than doing those things in other places.
