Like this, without eating food, without doing ascetic practices like extracting essence, according to one's ability, generate the generation stage, create oneself as the deity, and make offerings to the gods. Now, I still need to do the work of benefiting beings for a few more years. Except for the purpose of offering to the precious Three Jewels, for myself personally, I only have clothes and a bowl. Apart from a single riding animal, I have no other possessions. Tents and camping equipment, great Dharma assemblies, and other Dharma activities are all for the sake of the Sangha community. Although there are not many so-called Sangha members, it is said in the scriptures that four or more constitute a Sangha. If not affected by obstacles and adverse conditions, even if there are not many people on the boat, there is hope that many lamas and accomplished Dharma practitioners will emerge from here. Regarding the essence of what is said to be the actual practice of non-distracted meditation, because one has not yet reached the state of non-meditation, one must repeatedly and clearly remember, and in an unartificial, natural, and relaxed state, meditate in this way, without contrivance, maintaining the original state. Thus, in the beginning, middle, and end stages of meditation, the eleventh chapter establishes a connection. Then, all Bodhisattvas, in order to gather the means of benefiting beings, have four things: the necessary thing is giving, pleasing speech, conforming to worldly meaning, and practicing the benefit of those to be tamed. For those with desires, even if there is nothing unnecessary, one should not give poison and weapons for the purpose of killing. Even if one has them, it is not allowed, and one should not give to those with great greed. For those who want to write but have no paper, in order to benefit immediately, one must practice, therefore, one should give a little paper. For those who want to listen to the Dharma but lack Dharma provisions, one should say to give a little to continue the Dharma provisions. For those who come from afar, hungry and thirsty, one should say to fully give suitable food and drink. For those who are single-mindedly practicing and have run out of provisions, one thinks of giving some suitable food to continue the provisions. For those who are illiterate but want scriptures, if one has already obtained and practiced them, one thinks of giving scriptures that will definitely be helpful. For newly arrived lamas, if they lack offerings, if one is wealthy, one thinks of giving suitable items. For one's own disciples who are in accordance with the Dharma, when they go to secluded places or other places, if one does not have them, one thinks of giving scriptures and offerings, etc., helping as much as one can. For poor children being exchanged, if one is wealthy, one thinks of giving monastic robes and clothes. For weak renunciates who lack Dharma provisions, one should give Dharma robes, food, and drink.

Do not speak sweetly to reveal others' flaws, Do not call them by offensive, hurtful names. Regarding faults like broken vows and wrong views, Do not speak of those, but from the appropriate, virtuous side, Speak words that are timely and beneficial to the mind. Do not speak harshly to sinners, But teach the instructions for confessing sins. Do not slander those who have broken vows and fallen, But strive to make amends and seek methods of confession. Do not speak of faults in anything, But praise virtues and, in order, Do your best to turn their minds to the sacred Dharma. This is the principle of speaking sweetly. To act in accordance with worldly affairs is: When first meeting, inquire about their well-being, Ask about their homeland, language, and the prosperity of the year. Upon parting, wish them progress in their practice and all good things. Although these words are not necessary, They are spoken to conform with worldly people. Even if resolving disputes and handling affairs is very important, In this degenerate age, it is not appropriate to enforce judgments or inflict harsh punishments. Treat rulers who take bribes like gurus. Excessive gifts become the root of corruption. Or many factions may turn to the enemy. Therefore, if there are disputes between large groups, Or if there are serious conflicts and struggles, Do not intervene in their disputes; this is to avoid trouble. Even if there is no fighting, arguments may arise in the mind. Even a small spark can spread into a great fire. If both sides seem to respect each other, You can reconcile them by giving wealth and bestowing Dharma empowerments, Or hope that they reconcile. Similarly, for relatives, patrons, old friends, And residences, officials, and so on, According to the common customs of the world, Give them food and drink separately, Satisfying each of them in an appropriate manner. As Raspa Zhiwa Ö said, This is how to conform to worldly affairs. The meaning of "benefiting those to be tamed" is: For doctors, bestow the empowerment and transmission of the Medicine Buddha. For Ama chö (a type of female practitioner), give them their respective practices, And the empowerments and transmissions needed for the Five Dakinis and so on. For practitioners, give peaceful and wrathful practices, Hayagriva, And beneficial practices such as the Three-Faced Vajrakilaya. For nobles, if they fear a short life, give the Long Life Empowerment, For Chö practitioners, give the transmission and empowerment of Chö. For harmful spirits, give the practices of White Umbrella Goddess and Lion-Faced Dakini. For the sick, give the divination that benefits their illness, For those afflicted by planetary influences, give the Vajrapani practice to subdue the planets.
