No says, and in the Madhyama Agama, it says, "The formless liberation is peaceful, those who have transcended forms," and in the Sutra Explaining the Seven Stations of Consciousness and the Nine Abodes of Sentient Beings, it says, "There are non-form sentient beings," and "In all aspects, having completely transcended the perception of form," etc., because in the causal samadhi, form is blocked, and in the arising of the result, it is also said to block form. When there is no form, there is not even a little form. If there is, how could it not become a perception of form? Thus, one establishes one's own tenets. (There, the Sautrantikas believe that that form is born from the seed of form in the mind. The Vaibhashikas believe that if the mind of form manifests in beings born in the formless realm, then their death signs are also caused by form. The cause of maturation and equality is believed to be the past form substance.) Then, how do beings who die from the formless realm and are reborn in the lower realms arise with form? Because that is formless, and the proximate cause of form is only form. If that is the case, then at that time, form arises from the mind thrown by the co-operative cause, and the proximate cause is the four elements that exist in the desire and form realms. Therefore, some say that the Sautrantikas believe that body and mind are mutually seeded, the Vaibhashikas believe that the form of that moment arises from the past form, and the Mind-Only school believes that it arises from the Alaya consciousness, but these explanations are not good. The first is because it is the view of the Lokayata, the second is because although there is such a form, it is not necessary to rely on the past, and the third is because it is believed that form is not a substance, so it is meaningless to strive for its cause. The meaning of the words of the four formless samadhis is, then, are the sphere of infinite space, etc., called that because they only focus on space, etc.? Or are they named with the name of practice? It is with the name of practice, thus saying in practice that space is infinite, and saying that consciousness is infinite, and saying that there is nothing, like this in practice.

Therefore, for the infinite sky and so on, it is said in this way, and in other aspects, other dharmas are also observed according to the situation. The fourth is also called unconscious because the consciousness is weak and unclear and inferior. Because there is a little consciousness, it is also said that it is not unconscious. There is no higher ground than this in the three realms, so it is also called the peak of existence. Or, during practice, consciousness is a disease, a boil, an arrow wound, so coarse consciousness is also considered a fault. The unconscious is completely ignorant, meaning that unconsciousness is also the cause of complete ignorance. And, the realm of neither perception nor non-perception is peaceful and sublime, so it is also said for practice. Second, the classification is that, as mentioned above, apart from the limbs, the four dhyanas and the four formless realms, that is, the real essence of samadhi, have eight forms. (This does not explain the limbs, the near attainment, and the special features.) Among these eight, the seven excluding the peak of existence each have three forms, namely, tasting and possessing, the pure, and the inexhaustible. The eighth, the peak of existence, has only two forms, tasting and possessing and the pure, because the consciousness is weak and the aspects are unclear, so it does not rely on the noble path, so it is not without outflows. Among them, tasting and possessing is a companion corresponding to craving and so on. The meritorious samadhi of the world with outflows is called pure because it corresponds to non-attachment and so on. If you ask what the taster tastes? The pure is what is tasted by the taster, because of attachment and craving for the pure as good. Therefore, the taster is a meditation with afflictions, arising from the pure and entering into the taster. Although there are also meditations corresponding to views and pride, only those with craving are called tasters, because only by clinging to this goal, if it does not arise from this, it is impossible to become a higher meditation, so it is said. Without outflows is the samadhi beyond the world, possessing the true form. Third, the division of limbs is established separately, divided into two, of which the general meaning has three
