Cessation and, miraculous power and form body, These four qualities are also, To be known as four times four. Unshown knowledge and all-knowing, All aspects of effortless knowledge are four. Wisdom's qualities, all defilements, Permanently abandoned and with habitual tendencies. Samadhi, equipoise, all obscurations abandoned, The four abandonments are the perfection. Transforming and blessing external objects, Mastering objects, blessing emptiness. In life, with and without obstacles, Far and swift departure, small and then many. Entering many, mastering conduct. Rare, constant, various things, Showing mastery in four ways. The Victor's miraculous power is perfect. Marks and signs, strength and, Relics, firm like a vajra. Whatever relics of the body are firm, The Buddha's form body has four perfections. Hell beings, hungry ghosts, animals, And from the sufferings of samsara, Permanently liberating in four ways. Benefiting beings is a single act, Establishing in happy realms and the three vehicles. Four are the guides of beings, Because the qualities are like an immeasurable ocean. If well divided, though boundless, Yet summarized as the nature of greatness. Whoever knows the Savior, the All-Knowing, The excellent qualities, Having faith in the Buddha and his Dharma, And in his followers, the Sangha, Those are said to be wise. By merely having faith in the Buddha, who possesses such qualities, and in his Dharma, all sins with uncertain maturation will be suppressed, and after passing through many good states of gods and humans, which are the basis of the path, one will attain the supreme Nirvana. The root of the medical scriptures says: Those who guide the Victor, even if they perform small virtuous deeds, will pass through various heavens and finally attain the state of nectar. The commentary also says: Therefore, the Tathagatas are the supreme fields of merit, because they definitely produce results, and are not without results. Moreover, they bring about temporary heavens, so they are pleasing; they bring about results many times, so they are excellent; they are experienced in this life and so on, so they are swift; and they ultimately attain Nirvana, so the ending is good.

Apart from the eighteen unshared qualities, the Buddha's other qualities are shared with the Shravaka disciples and those who represent self-realization. Some qualities are also shared with ordinary beings. What are these qualities? They are: no afflictions, wish-fulfilling wisdom, the four analytical knowledges, the six supernormal powers, and so on, including the four dhyanas, the four formless absorptions, the four immeasurables, the eight liberations, the eight abhibhvayatanas, the ten kasinas, the three samadhis, and so on. Among these, from no afflictions to the four analytical knowledges, as well as the exhaustion of outflows supernormal power, the cessation liberation, and the three doors of liberation, are shared only with the noble ones, while the rest are shared with ordinary beings. Second, the extensive explanation. The extensive explanation is divided into two parts. First, the explanation of no afflictions, etc., which are shared only with the noble ones, has four items. The first item is no afflictions, which means that Arhats recognize that the suffering of sentient beings arises from afflictions, and that they themselves have the distinction of being worthy of offerings. Therefore, they want to eliminate the afflictions of others, so they contemplate themselves, taking themselves as the object, thinking, "May others not generate afflictions such as attachment, aversion, pride, and carelessness," and thus abide in meditation. (Because this path does not cause afflictions to anyone, this no affliction is the special feature of skillful means to protect the minds of others.) Even when arising from meditation, they generate wisdom that is consistent with it, which is the nature of conventional wisdom. (Because the afflictions to be abandoned by meditation in other continuums are only objects of the future, but the uncontaminated is not like that.) The ground is the best of the easy paths, so it only exists at the top of the four dhyanas. The person is an Arhat with immutable Dharma, not other Arhats with decaying Dharma, etc., because those Arhats may decay, so sometimes they cannot even eliminate the afflictions in their own continuums (let alone eliminate the afflictions of others). The basis of the body can only be generated by people from the three continents (because there are many companion afflictions, and there), intelligent
