The sense-spheres within the desire realm do not transform, because if they did, there would be the fault of producing sentient beings that did not exist before. Sound does not transform because it is impermanent. Among these, one's self transforms into lions and elephants, etc., which is connected to one's own body; one's self transforms from outside oneself into lions and elephants, etc., which is connected to the bodies of others, there are two situations. Secondly, those who rely on the desire realm only transform the two sense-spheres of form and touch, since there is no smell or taste there, and like before, they are connected to the bodies of self and others, each with two kinds, for a total of four. Thus, the transformations of those who rely on the desire realm are of four kinds (two each of the desire and form realms). Similarly, secondly, those who rely on the form realm also transform the two and four sense-spheres of their own realm and the desire realm, and both of these are transformed in connection with the bodies of self and others, so the total number of transformations is eight. If they transform smell and taste connected to their own body in the desire realm, then they will possess those two, if so, because they do not have desire for them, even if they transform, they will not possess them, just as clothes and ornaments are connected to the body, but are not considered sentient beings, so they will not possess mind. Furthermore, is it only by means of direct cognition that one transforms transformations? No. It is the minds of transformation, the result of direct cognition, that transform transformations. And if those transformation minds are classified, there are fourteen kinds. What are they? The transformation mind that is the result of the first dhyana is the two of the desire realm and the first dhyana realm, from the result of the second dhyana, the two lower realms and one's own realm, for a total of three, the three lower realms of the third dhyana and one's own realm, for a total of four, the four lower realms of the fourth dhyana and one's own realm, up to five, these should be understood sequentially. Therefore, the transformation mind that is the result of dhyana is of one's own realm and the lower realms, but not the transformation mind that is the result of the lower dhyana realm, born from the upper realm (if so, there would be the fault of being able to transform the upper realm based on the lower realm). If one has not attained the upper realm, one cannot produce it, and if one has attained it, then it is the result of that. Thus, the transformation mind of the desire realm is only the result of the four dhyanas.

Because the emanated desire realm emanation of the mind of emanation desiring the fruit of the lower dhyanas surpasses the emanated desire realm emanation of the mind of emanation desiring the fruit of the higher dhyanas in terms of movement. The emanated desire realm emanation of the mind of emanation desiring the fruit of the first dhyana can only move up to the place of the first dhyana, and cannot move to the second dhyana and so on. Because the emanated desire realm emanation of the mind of emanation desiring the fruit of the second dhyana can move up to the place of the second dhyana. Similarly, it should be understood by applying it to the emanations of the mind of emanation desiring the fruit of the third dhyana and so on. The way to obtain these minds of emanation is to obtain them in the same way as the actual practice of dhyana, by separating from desire from the lower grounds. So, does that mind of emanation arise and emerge only from its own lineage, or does it also arise from others? That mind of emanation, when it first manifests and enters into the mind of emanation, will arise from the mind of emanation itself, like a pure meditator and at all times. When that which abides in the mind of emanation arises, it does not arise without entering into samadhi, so from that mind of emanation, and at the time of arising from the mind of emanation, like a pure meditator and at all times, it will arise from the mind of emanation itself and the two together, but it does not arise from others or from others. (Therefore, it is impossible for a mind of desire to arise from the mind of emanation alone, just as a bird's flight and descent necessarily depend on its wings.) All emanations are emanated by the mind of emanation of their own place, but the mind of emanation of another place does not emanate the emanation of another place. Generally speaking, especially the emanations of the second dhyana and above, when they enter into verbal expression, because there is no conceptualization in their own place, and the motivation for verbal expression necessarily depends on conceptualization, only the mind of speech of the place of the first dhyana of the lower ground can make them enter into speech. The word "also" is to summarize that in the desire realm and the first dhyana, only the mind of one's own place can make one enter into speech. That verbal expression is not the emanation of the teacher Buddha together with the gods.
