To know completely, in the end, is to recite once, which is three times. The twelve aspects are that each of those recitations has four aspects: eye because the nature of suffering is manifest, knowledge because there is no doubt, intelligence because the correct meaning is known, and wisdom because it is completely pure. Similarly, each of the other three truths has three recitations, and each recitation has four aspects such as the arising of the eye, so there are twelve aspects. Then, for each of the four noble truths, there are three recitations, twelve in total, and each recitation has four aspects, so there are forty-eight aspects. How does it become three recitations and twelve aspects? Because each truth of the non-truth also has three recitations and twelve aspects, so it is recited three times and called twelve aspects, just like explaining the two and being skilled in the seven places. Among them, explaining the two is as stated in the sutra: Monks, I will explain the two to you. Listen well and pay close attention. What are the two? From the eye and forms to the mind and dharmas, although there are six pairs of two, they are called two because the dharmas are similar in pairs. The seven places are as stated in the sutra: Monks, one who is skilled in the seven places will quickly attain the cessation of defilements in this Dharma and discipline. What are the seven? To truly know form as it is. The arising of form, the cessation of form, the path to the cessation of form, the taste of form, the faults, and the escape are also truly known as they are. Similarly, it should be applied to the aggregates of feeling and so on. Although there are seven fives and thirty-five, they are called seven because the seven groups are similar. Therefore, it is said that each recitation of the four noble truths shows the three paths of seeing, meditation, and no learning in order. The teacher says that if that is the case, then only the path of seeing is not a Dharma wheel, because it only has one recitation and four aspects, because it does not have three recitations and twelve aspects. Therefore, that category of Dharma

Therefore, it is the Wheel of Dharma because it fully demonstrates the Wheel of Dharma; it is the three turnings and twelve aspects because it fully demonstrates the meaning of the three turnings and twelve aspects; and it is also turning because it guides and makes understood by means of making the continuums of those to be tamed understand its meaning. Or, the three paths of seeing, meditation, and no-more-learning all enter the continuums of those to be tamed, so it is the Wheel of Dharma. It is said that when the Venerable Kaundinya attained the path of seeing, the Wheel of Dharma had been turned, because it was first begun to be turned in order to generate the path of seeing in the continuums of the Venerable Kaundinya and others, so it is called turning. The three turnings are from "This is the noble truth of suffering" to "This is the noble truth of the path," which is the turning of the self-nature of the four noble truths; from "Suffering should be fully known" to "The path should be cultivated," which is the turning of what is to be done; and from "Suffering has been fully known" to "The path has been cultivated," which is the turning of what is ultimate. The twelve aspects are, in terms of the four noble truths, from "This is suffering" to "This is the path," which are the four aspects of the self-nature of the four noble truths; from "Should be fully known" to "Should be cultivated," which are the four aspects of what is to be done; and from "Has been fully known" to "Has been cultivated," which are the four aspects of what is ultimate. This is how some teachers think. Therefore, according to the Vaibhashikas, each of the four truths has three turnings and twelve aspects (they think of twelve twelves), while the teacher thinks that the four truths are added together, and there are three turnings and twelve aspects in total. The fifth question is, then, in which realm can one obtain the fruits of the ascetic life? In the desire realm, one can obtain the first three fruits, that is, the fruits that have not been obtained before, while the last fruit, the Arhat fruit, can be obtained in all three realms. If the first two fruits are obtained because one has not separated from desire in the desire realm, then in that case, if someone born in the upper realm enters certainty, they will become a non-returner in the sixteenth moment, so how can this be obtained in the upper realm? Because there is no path of seeing in the upper realm, and because the path of seeing has arisen before
