It depends solely on that. That is, the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas are only liberated from a portion of both, because it is impossible not to have abandoned the obscurations of liberation and meditative absorption. Furthermore, as it says in the Uttaratantra, "From the three obscurations of affliction, knowledge, and meditative absorption, there is definite liberation." It speaks of three obscurations. Or, as it says in the Madhyantavibhaga, "The obscuration of affliction and the obscuration of knowledge are shown as two obscurations. All obscurations are included there, and liberation is said to be when they are exhausted." According to what is said, it is included in the obscuration of knowledge. If that is the case, then will the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas abandon the obscuration of knowledge? Abandoning all obscurations of knowledge is not universal, but abandoning some distinctions of the obscuration of knowledge is acceptable. For example, not knowing how to enter the preparatory stage is also an obscuration of knowledge, but they have abandoned it. For that very reason, in the summary of the *Dharmadharmatavibhanga*, it is also said that the liberated ones are distinguished by being liberated from the obscuration of knowledge, and the minds of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas are liberated from how much obscuration of knowledge. It is said. If someone relies solely on the preparatory stage of the first dhyana and is liberated from only the obscuration of affliction by the power of the wisdom that realizes selflessness, then that is liberation from a portion of both, that is, liberation through wisdom. Among these, there are those who are known as adorned Arhats and unadorned Arhats. Third, the twofold division is, if the two perfections of the learner and non-learner are explained, then what are they like? The perfection of the learner through meditative absorption is the non-returner, because they directly realize cessation with their body. Perfection through the faculties is what is obtained through seeing. Perfection through the result is abiding in the result of the non-returner. Thus, these three dharmas are called the complete perfection of the learner. As it says in the sutra, "Here, whoever has abandoned the five afflictions, possesses the unseizable dharma, and has the complete perfection of the learner." The afflictions mentioned here are the five lower fetters, and abandoning them indicates perfection through the result. Not being seized of what has been learned by others indicates that it is obtained through seeing, and therefore it is perfection through the faculties. Abiding happily in the dharma of seeing, with the body

Being endowed with direct realization of the ground is being perfected by meditative absorption. Here also, since one cannot attain the meditative absorption of cessation without having attained the fruit of non-return, being perfected by the fruit is more extensive, while being perfected by faculty and meditative absorption is less extensive. Therefore, being perfected by the fruit is all those who have attained the fruit of non-return. Being perfected by faculty and the two is the one who abides in the fruit of non-return, the one who has attained vision but does not directly realize it with the body. Being perfected by meditative absorption and the three is the one who abides in the fruit of non-return, the one who has attained vision and directly realizes it with the body. Being perfected by the fruit and meditative absorption is the non-returner and the one who realizes it with faith through the body. Being perfected only by faculty is the noble one who has attained vision but has not separated from desire in the desire realm. Being perfected only by the fruit is the non-returner who does not realize it with faith through the body. Being perfected only by faculty and meditative absorption, and being perfected only by meditative absorption, are impossible. Because, although one has attained vision, it is impossible to perfect the learning path without having attained the fruit of non-return, and without separating from desire in the desire realm, one cannot attain the state of non-return, and without attaining that, it is impossible to enter into cessation, and also, the learner who has separated from desire in the desire realm is definitely abiding in the fruit of non-return. Being perfected by faculty and meditative absorption is the complete perfection of the non-learner, because it is impossible to have a non-learner who is not perfected by the fruit, therefore the perfection of the fruit is not explained. Being perfected by faculty is liberation by wisdom, not liberation in due time. Being perfected by meditative absorption is liberation from both aspects, liberation in due time. Being perfected by both faculty and meditative absorption is liberation from both aspects, not liberation in due time. A classification of individuals who are meditators.
