It is only unborn. Second, the path of application (Prayogamarga in Sanskrit, meaning the path of application. Praya is Paramartha, meaning ultimate meaning, Yoga is application, that is, to apply in order to directly see the ultimate meaning of the path of seeing, hence the name path of application.) is to focus on the general four mindfulnesses, from which arises the wisdom of warmth. Because it is the precursor to the fire of the path of seeing that burns the firewood of the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing, it is called warmth. This wisdom cannot focus on all four in one instant, but is continuous, so it is the object of the four noble truths such as suffering. Therefore, it should be known that the path of accumulation does not focus on the four truths, but the path of application focuses on the four truths from the heat stage. If the path of accumulation focuses on the aggregates, will it also focus on the truths? No, because it focuses on the aggregates that have not been distinguished into truths, while the path of application focuses on them after distinguishing the four truths. The aspects are the sixteen aspects of observation, such as impermanence, which will be discussed below, and these are also contaminated. The wisdom of warmth increases through small, medium, and large stages, giving rise to the wisdom of the peak. The peak is also the same as the warmth, with the four truths and the sixteen contaminated aspects. If the object and aspects are the same, why should it be explained separately? Because it is the most excellent, it is given another name. This is the peak of the manifest increase of the wisdom of warmth, or it is the peak of shaking the roots of virtue because it degenerates from these or tolerance manifests. Therefore, the two, warmth and peak, are both shaking because there is a possibility of degeneration. Among them, small shaking is warmth, and large shaking is the peak. (The size is according to the order of warmth and peak.) Tolerance and supreme dharma have no possibility of degeneration, so they are unshakable. Among them, small unshakable is tolerance, and large unshakable is supreme dharma. Both warmth and peak engage in focusing on the object through the mindfulness of dharma, and generate aspects. (Because all the objects and aspects of the path are included in the four mindfulnesses.) First, the aspects such as impermanence are established, and establishing or placing is the meaning of the word. (The previous inferior one increases and first ignites the fire.) Later increase

Moreover, not only does the establishment of mindfulness on the Dharma increase, but the other three establishments of mindfulness, such as the body, also increase it, that is, make it familiar and proficient. Therefore, the arising of aspects is the initial practice, while the increase is to make that practice familiar and proficient, for example, the intermediate forbearance is like repeatedly practicing by reducing the object and aspects. The peak gradually increases from small, medium, to large, thereby giving rise to the wisdom of forbearance. In the stages of heat and peak, one endures the truth in small and medium ways respectively. Forbearance is the gate of non-regression, because through the gradual familiarity of the realization of the peak, one endures the truth more greatly. There are also three types of forbearance, of which the small and medium types are like the heat and peak initially giving rise to and establishing aspects on the truths, just as the establishment of mindfulness on the Dharma initially gives rise to and establishes aspects on the truths (thus arising as the nature of the establishment of mindfulness on the Dharma). The increase differs from heat and peak, because all the small, medium, and large forbearances are increased only by the establishment of mindfulness on the Dharma itself, and not by other establishments of mindfulness such as the establishment of mindfulness on the body. This is because the Dharma is close to the supreme Dharma, and the supreme Dharma is close to the path of seeing, and the path of seeing is the nature of the establishment of mindfulness on the Dharma, therefore it is shown to be the same. Among them, small forbearance is the sixteen aspects of the four truths of the desire realm, and the sixteen aspects of the four truths combined with the two upper realms, that is, fully practicing the thirty-two moments of aspects. The intermediate forbearance is explained in the commentary: When one reduces one by one from the objects of the aspects of the truths, such as the antidotes of the form and formless realms, until one only attends to suffering in the desire realm for two moments, all of that is intermediate forbearance. When there is only one moment, that is great forbearance. In the commentary, it says that initially reducing the aspects one by one, and finally abandoning even the object and practicing, and the two ways of reducing the object truth and aspects simultaneously and practicing the remainder, the first is that some people think that reducing the aspects of the truths one by one and reducing the objects one by one is the intention of the teacher.
