It is the object of the three, such as wrong views, from the desire realm up to the peak of existence. If those paths that rely on the higher realms, how do they become the object of the lower realms' wrong views, etc.? The paths of the higher and lower realms, the paths of the nine grounds, are mutually of the same and different nature. It is said that they are mutually causes of equal share. Then, since the paths of subsequent knowledge and dharma knowledge are mutually causes of equal share, for subsequent knowledge, does aiming at the path of dharma knowledge become the object of wrong views, etc., of the desire realm? Although it is so, since subsequent knowledge is not the antidote to desire, it does not become the object of wrong views, etc., of the desire realm. Then, does the path of dharma knowledge also become the object of wrong views, etc., that are practiced in the form and formless realms? Because it will be said: The path of meditation is the antidote, and the path that is dharma knowledge is the antidote to the three realms. Is it because it will be explained in this way? Although it is explained in this way (however, this is distinguished by whether or not it acts as the antidote to all, that is, of the Treasury), in the commentary it says: Because there is no first, and because it is not of the first, it is not an object. The meaning of those is that dharma knowledge is not the object of wrong views, etc., of the two upper realms, because it is not their antidote. How is that? In this way, all dharma knowledge is not the antidote to the upper realms, because for the four truths, the first of the dharma knowledges, the dharma knowledge of the first two truths, is not the antidote to the form and formless realms. Nor is it the antidote to all the upper realms (dharma is the first of the upper realms), because it is not the antidote to what is abandoned by seeing. Therefore, in accordance with this, Master Vasubandhu also said that the first, that is, suffering and arising included in the path of meditation, for the two dharma knowledges, is not the antidote to the two upper realms, and in relation to what is abandoned by meditation, the first of the two upper realms' what is abandoned by seeing, the antidote is not dharma knowledge, so the wrong views, etc., of the two upper realms are not the object of dharma knowledge. In this way, although the Vaibhashikas answer in this way, however, these are taken as the limit of establishment.
