Therefore, it is also said in the *Compendium of Topics* that, except for ignorance, views, and doubt, the afflictions used in the desire realm do not focus on the higher realms. The afflictions of the higher realms do not focus on the lower realms. (In the desire realm, all that focus on the realms and spheres of equal and unequal share are present. In the fourth dhyana, there is no focus on the sphere of equal share. At the peak of existence, there is only focus on the realm of equal share.) Here, it is possible to focus on one or two spheres of unequal share, but it is not possible to focus on the sum of three. If the first two views do not focus on the higher realms, then how is it that those in the desire realm view Brahma as a sentient being and view it as permanent? Viewing Brahma as a sentient being is not the view of the aggregates because they do not grasp Brahma as self and belonging to self. Viewing Brahma as permanent is also not the view of holding to extremes, because it is instigated by the view of the aggregates, but there is no view of the aggregates. The Abhidharma masters hold that focusing on Brahma is a wrong knowledge, not included in the five views. Furthermore, is it only subtle defilements that are all-pervasive? No, it is not. Those eleven subtle defilements and whatever phenomena arise simultaneously with them, such as mind and mental factors, feelings, and so forth, the corresponding ones, and characteristics and so forth, are also all-pervasive. However, it is specifically excluded that what is obtained in general is not, because the results of those subtle defilements and what is obtained (of maturation and cause-congruence) are not the same. Therefore, there are four possibilities regarding subtle defilements that are all-pervasive and causes that are all-pervasive: The first (subtle defilements are all-pervasive but the cause is not all-pervasive) are future subtle defilements that are all-pervasive. The second are past and present subtle defilements that are all-pervasive and those that arise simultaneously. The third are past and present subtle defilements that are all-pervasive. The fourth are future simultaneous arising and what is obtained, and so forth, other than those. Therefore, out of the ninety-eight subtle defilements, only twenty-seven are all-pervasive, and sixty-five are not. And, since the six ignorances to be abandoned by the first two truths are directly shown, it implies all those that are all-pervasive.

Because it contradicts the characteristics of the first two truths, it is a real wrong entry; those that are not all-pervasive, although they are based on things, do not contradict the characteristics, so it is said to be a wrong entry in the wrong entry. Above, self-grasping is five kinds, namely the first three views and ignorance, and doubt, which are, in order, grasping the truth as self and self-owned, clinging to permanence and annihilation, slandering as non-existent, not understanding reality, and doubting other extremes, so it is a real wrong entry; attachment, pride, and the latter two views, these four are, in order, craving and arrogance for the first three views, clinging to them as the cause of excellence and pure liberation, so it is a wrong entry in the wrong entry; anger is quarreling with those who disagree with their own views, and entering wrongly due to power, thus explaining it as three wrong entries. Secondly, the difference between objects with and without outflows is that the two wrong views and two doubts to be abandoned by seeing cessation and the path, and the ignorance corresponding to these four, and the unique ignorance that is not mixed, including the two of seeing the path of cessation, are six kinds (or eighteen kinds if divided by realms), which are the objects of the outflowless, because they are inverted clinging to the truth of the path of cessation, and these two truths are also outflowless. (If so, then it will become seeing the truth, answer: not necessarily, because it is entering in an unorthodox way.) The other (the remaining eighty kinds) are the objects of the Dharma with outflows. So, which ground's wrong view, etc., is based on which ground's antidote, cessation and path? The wrong view, etc., based on cessation, is based on the antidote of its own ground, cessation, that is, the wrong view, etc., of the desire realm is based on the antidote of the desire realm, cessation, etc., up to the peak of existence. The path is the initial application, etc., which is the object of the path Dharma wisdom based on the six outflowless grounds, and is the object of the three kinds of wrong view (doubt, ignorance), etc., of the desire realm, because it is the antidote of the desire realm. Similarly, because it is the antidote of the upper two realms, the subsequent wisdom of the path based on these six grounds and the first three of the formless realm, that is, the nine grounds, is the object of the subsequent wisdom, which is the first dhyana.
