And possessing, from the first moment of obtaining vows (not only that), but also possessing the past. (If it were not so, then the previous vows would have been abandoned, because after obtaining them, they are not possessed. This is not according to the mind, because the cause of abandonment has been cut off, and the future attainment has not yet arisen, so it is said that the first moment only possesses the present.) That should also be combined with "until it is not abandoned." Just as the possession of the Pratimoksha vows is, so is abiding in non-vows similar to that (therefore, change the statement). It should be known. Possessing the Dhyana vows, until they are not abandoned, always possessing the past and future non-manifest forms, and the attainments that have not been interrupted by the cause of abandonment, is the established tenet. (That is, for the first moment, one also obtains the past of the Dhyana vows abandoned in other lives and in this life. However, it does not include what is included by the determination division, so it is explained.) The vows of the noble, uncontaminated one, in the first moment, at the time of the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of suffering, do not possess the past, because the previous uncontaminated path has not been generated, so such a past is impossible. (If obtaining the fruit and at the time of the transformation of faculties are also the same as this? If you ask, the friend says that there is a similarity of uncontaminated vows there, so that is not said. The commentator says that if the meaning of similarity refers to contaminated vows, then it also exists at the time of the first moment, but if it is uncontaminated, then how can it exist after it is abandoned? Therefore, because it was not generated previously, the first of those also does not possess the past, so it is thought.) Others should be understood in the same way as possessing the Dhyana vows. Those are spoken of in terms of the past and future. In terms of the present, entering into contaminated Dhyana, and abiding in the noble path, that is, at the time of entering into Samadhi, the non-manifest forms of both Dhyana and uncontaminated vows possess the present, but not when rising from equanimity, because those presents are according to the mind (of equanimity). When not in Samadhi, the past and future attainments also possess until the cause of abandonment has not arisen, which is the established tenet.

If one abides in the intermediate state that is neither discipline nor non-discipline, if there is non-manifestation, then abiding in the first moment is in accordance with the present, and from the first moment onwards, it is in accordance with the past and present two times. That is also until it is not abandoned. So, is there a non-manifestation of good (intermediate) that corresponds to non-discipline, and a non-manifestation of evil (intermediate) that corresponds to discipline? The answer is: yes. (How long does it exist?) Butchers and others who abide in non-discipline also correspond to the non-manifestation of good manifestation, because as long as they have the power of extreme faith and perform prostrations to stupas, etc., then the intermediate non-manifestation of good will arise. Similarly, those who abide in the Pratimoksha discipline also correspond to the non-manifestation of evil manifestation, because as long as they have the power of afflictions and kill, bind, beat, and harm beings, etc., then the intermediate non-manifestation of evil will correspond. These are from the perspective of non-manifestation. Now, from the perspective of manifestation, it is shown that the manifestation of body and speech, for all beings who abide in discipline, non-discipline, and the intermediate state, those who actually perform manifestation are in accordance with the present, and from the cause of abandonment that has not been abandoned, from the first moment onwards, they are also in accordance with the past. It is not in accordance with the future (touch), because manifestation is not in accordance with the mind (because of), and because it is form, it does not have such power. What is specifically excluded is that the obscured manifestation and the unobscured and unspecified manifestation are not only not in accordance with the future, but also not in accordance with the past, because unspecified dharmas are weak, and the attainment (that arises simultaneously with it) is also weak, (after the dharma ceases) the attainment cannot be drawn back and forth. Incidentally, the synonyms for non-discipline are non-discipline because body and speech are not subdued, and it is misconduct and the opposite of morality because it is condemned by the noble ones and produces undesirable results.
