And some, not only know when entering, but also know when abiding, but do not know when emerging. And some, not only know when entering and abiding, but also know when emerging. And also, other than the previous three ways of entering the womb, others are confused about all entering, abiding, and emerging. Among these, those born from eggs are always only confused about entering, abiding, and emerging. Here, the term "born" is used to indicate the future name, just like saying "grinding flour." Therefore, the elders residing in rocks, the elders near rocks, and the self-born sons of the egg-born kings of the Five Acquisition Countries are also confused about entering and so on. Therefore, entering the womb with inverted wisdom refers to the situation of those who do not enter the womb with correct knowledge, not to all situations. Furthermore, there are two types of entering the womb without correct knowledge: those known as beings with little power, when entering the mother's womb, because of wind, rain, cold, bad environment, or the noise of many vulgar people, they think of going to dense grass, dense forests, huts of grass and leaves, under trees, or beside walls, and then they enter. When abiding and emerging, they also have inverted perceptions and intentions of abiding in those places and emerging from those places. Those known as beings with great power, when entering, think of entering gardens, pleasure gardens, or palaces, or entering multi-storied buildings, or ascending thrones. When abiding and emerging, they also think that they are abiding in those places and emerging from those places, thus generating inverted perceptions and intentions. Entering with correct knowledge means knowing that it is the mother's womb, and knowing that one is entering, abiding, and emerging from there, so inverted perceptions and intentions do not arise. If it has already been said that one enters the womb due to attachment and aversion to parents, why is it said here that there are other ways of entering the womb, such as entering dense forests and gardens? This is because entering the womb is not necessarily only due to attachment and aversion, but to show that one can also enter the womb through the perception of grass and gardens, etc. If it is said in this way, then the statement "the existence of birth is afflicted, all the afflictions of one's own ground" will also be reasonable.

Then, Geshe Gangpa explained. Some say that the former is the case of oneself and a distant state, while this is the case of oneself and a near state. Also, knowing the entry into the womb but not knowing the latter two situations, and knowing the first two situations but not knowing the emergence, and knowing all three situations, these three ways of entering the womb are correct. Among them, the Chakravartin king is the first, and the self-born and self-extinguished and (perfect) Buddha Bhagavan are the second and third. Why? Because the karma (of merit) of the Chakravartin (in the intermediate state) is vast, and the self-born Buddha is the wisdom of practicing (and knowing the six things) for hundreds of kalpas is vast, and the Buddha is both merit and wisdom are vast, so they are arranged in order. (The reincarnated and the self-born are greedy for their mothers at that time, so the mind is troubled, but knowing refers to not contradicting consciousness and will.) When they enter the womb, although they are not Buddhas, etc., they are indicated by the name that will appear. The four situations such as knowing the entry into the womb exist separately for other birthplaces, excluding the oviparous and these three people in particular, which is an implied meaning. If the self-born Buddha knows two places of entry into the womb, and the oviparous is always ignorant, these two are contradictory, because the son of the king of the five aggregates, etc. is oviparous, but he is a self-born Buddha. Knowing the place of entry into the womb is said in the case of the self-born Buddha like a rhinoceros, and those oviparous practice in groups, so there is no fault. Geshe Gangpa explained it this way. Or, knowing the place of entry into the womb is said in the case of the womb-born. (If you don't know the entry into the womb, you don't know the other two situations.) Now, explaining the state of being in the intermediate state, the interdependence of how it exists, and the food on which it depends, are divided into two, first is the (first) summary explanation of the three, that is, outside of this Dharma, the heretics believe that the connection from the death existence to the birth existence is not the intermediate state, because they admit that it is impermanent. If the person who is reborn into another life is impermanent, then I and karma will be cut off.
