The second is the third and fourth of the four alternatives. As it says in the commentary. Therefore, according to this proponent of philosophical tenets, there are three: the immediately preceding condition of mind, the simultaneous condition of mind, and the simultaneous condition of meditative absorption. Generally, the two meditative absorptions without mind, as well as mind and mental factors, have all three. Because the arising mind from the two meditative absorptions is also said to have the simultaneous condition of the two meditative absorptions. Although the two meditative absorptions without mind and what are not mind and mental factors, the characteristics of the first moment of the two meditative absorptions, such as arising and obtaining, and the characteristics of mind and mental factors, such as arising and obtaining, do not have the immediately preceding condition of mind, it is asserted that they are produced by the two: the simultaneous condition of mind and the simultaneous condition of meditative absorption. Although the two meditative absorptions without mind are not concomitant, the subsequent moments of each meditative absorption, and the characteristics of the second moment of the two meditative absorptions, such as arising and obtaining, are also asserted to be produced by the simultaneous condition of meditative absorption. If it is said that the arising mind from the two without mind cannot be the result of the immediately preceding condition of the entering mind for those two, because it is interrupted by many moments, then merely being interrupted by many moments does not make it not so; it would become not so if it were interrupted by another mind, but this is not interrupted by another mind. Therefore, the commentary also says: Now, how is the mind that arises from a long interruption of meditative absorption called the immediately preceding condition of the mind of meditative absorption? Because it is not interrupted by another mind. The Sutra School asserts that there are seeds of mind in the body with sense faculties, and the Mind-Only School asserts that they are stable consciousnesses, as has been said. The objective condition is the objective condition of each of the consciousnesses, such as eye consciousness, together with their corresponding mental factors, which are the contaminated forms and other present phenomena of their respective objects. The objective condition of mental consciousness is the contaminated and uncontaminated phenomena, the three times and time.

Everything that is not included (suitable for the environment). If the form and so on are not perceived by consciousness, then how can it become a condition for perception? Because it is similar to the perceived form and so on, those are also regarded as the perceived object, for example, wood that does not burn is also called firewood because it is similar in category and characteristics. Or because some do not perceive, but some do perceive. If all dharmas are the object-condition of the mind's consciousness, then the unconditioned will also be. In that case, the unconditioned will also become a real entity, because it can function to produce results. Although the Vaibhashikas think that it is acceptable for the unconditioned to become a real entity, if they produce results, they will either always produce or never produce, because they are considered to be permanent things. Sometimes producing and sometimes not producing, because it is sometimes, there will be the fault of becoming impermanent. Therefore, it is better to think that the unconditioned is only the object of perception because it has no self-nature, and not the cause of producing results. The previously mentioned acting cause (because it benefits without distinction) is said to be the adhipati-pratyaya (dominant condition). So, the object-condition is also all dharmas, and the dominant condition is also all dharmas, what is the difference? (The dominant condition is all dharmas that arise together with oneself except oneself, because what arises together with oneself is not the object-condition,) the object-condition is the object of each mind and mental factor is the object-condition, not the object of others is the object-condition of others. Saying that all dharmas are object-conditions means that the mind and mental factors are perceived accordingly, not that everything perceives everything. Furthermore, the object-condition is the cause of those that have objects, not those that do not have objects, and the dominant condition is all dharmas other than oneself, so there is a difference. Corresponding and co-occurring dharmas are dominant conditions, but not object-conditions.
