Innumerable virtuous and noble disciples appeared, and he made great contributions to the Dharma, passing away peacefully at the age of sixty-five. These two, Rongpa father and son, greatly promoted the teaching of the Kalachakra Tantra. It is said that Rongpa himself was proficient in Hetuvidya (logic), Pramana (epistemology), and so on, and was a true scholar. He extensively listened to the teachings of the Secret Mantra Vajrayana, and Gyiton Jampelyang Drakpa Gyaltsen also listened to his teachings. The Dharma Lord Omniscient Great One himself also listened to his teachings. He was born in Dolpo, ordained as a young man, went to the glorious Sakya Monastery, and listened to the Dharma from the great Tripitaka holder Gyiton Shakya Bum and the uncle and nephew Gyiton Jampelyang. He taught both the upper and lower Abhidharma, the Ornament for Clear Realization, the Commentary on Valid Cognition, and the Determination of Valid Cognition at the same time. He taught from the doorway of Choktri Tang, astonishing many people. Afterwards, he completely listened to all the Dharma teachings of Hetuvidya and the Secret Mantra Vajrayana that the uncle and nephew possessed, becoming a very knowledgeable scholar. He went to Dharma Lord Yonten Gyatso and completely listened to the empowerment and instructions of the Three Sections of Mind Commentary, and so on. Furthermore, he relied on many venerable lamas, becoming the Dharma Lord and the master of the teachings. He became the guru of many great figures such as Kunga Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo uncle and nephew, and guided many scholars, outstanding male and female practitioners, and many others onto the path of maturation and liberation. He promoted the essence of the Dharma, built the great stupa of Jampaling Gyen (Ornament of the World), and guided many beings to virtue. This is who he was. I (the author) have relied on this Dharma Lord for a long time, listening to four complete and detailed explanations of the Kalachakra Root Tantra and Explanatory Tantra, as well as many other scriptures, treatises, empowerments, and instructions. My ability to truly understand the meaning of the scriptures and treatises is entirely due to the kindness of this venerable one. Other transmissions of the Kalachakra Other transmissions of the Kalachakra are: Shri Bhadra Bodhi, a disciple of Kalachakrapada, gave the teachings to Gyi Jo Dawa Ozer, who also made the basic translation and first transmitted it to Lochung and others. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
