When I asked about the Dharma connection, he explained the two mantras and said. He gave me a full cup of white wine, but I didn't drink it. Some people said, 'You don't even drink the wine given by the Lama, you are so bad.' The Pandit (Sanskrit विद्वान्, vidvān, wise) showed a lot of gold powder and musk, saying, 'You can take these to Nepal, and if you arrive safely, I will return to Tibet and give you all the Dharma you need.' I thought, 'Let's do that.' So I entrusted the scriptures to Gomba Tsul Drak and went to retrieve them. They asked, 'Where are you going?' I told them the previous story. They said, 'The Pandit's (Sanskrit विद्वान्, vidvān, wise) Dharma cannot be brought back. Many people have failed to bring it back before. If you must study the Pandit's (Sanskrit विद्वान्, vidvān, wise) Dharma, why not ask our Lama Sonam Sangpo, who knows everything perfectly? Wouldn't that be better?' Hearing this, I changed my mind and asked Venerable Gyalwa O, Gomba Wangso, and Gomba Tsul Drak for instructions. I offered some gold and a good conch shell [Kavaling] (Tibetan ཀ་བ་ལིང་, Sanskrit कपाल, kapāla, skull bowl). They were very pleased and said, 'These things of yours are also good. Sodowa Duldzinpa seems to be a qualified spiritual friend, and you seem to be someone he values very much. It seems you have some merit.' Then they promised to give me Dharma teachings. I met the seventy-two-year-old Lama and served him closely for four years, listening to the texts of the Three Commentaries, the oral instructions, and all related content, as well as the explanation of the 'Praise of Names' oral instructions, and the 'Secret Assembly Lamp Treatise,' etc. Once, the Lama became slightly unwell, and he said, 'Before giving Dharma to Tsangton, I cannot die (I cannot die).' He prayed to the Dakini and completely bestowed all the teachings. After that, I went to the fifty districts of Uyuk, established a residence in the western Da, Gyalkha, and also practiced solitary retreat in Pulu. I also meditated for a long time in the cave behind Gakang, and finally attained accomplishment. I taught initiations and profound path instructions, as well as all the textual explanations of the Three Commentaries. I also composed many instruction treatises (such as the 'Four Lamps' and the 'Essential Collection'), living to the age of eighty and making great contributions to the Buddhist cause. (These histories are based on the detailed oral records of the Venerable One himself, recorded by Chöwang. Some people mistakenly add the son's name to the father's name, and some say that when studying with Seton and Barton, the name was Yumo, which are all incorrect.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do not trust what is written.) It was when he was fifty-five years old that he performed the ritual of producing offspring, and his son Dharmaśvara was born. Due to the karmic imprints of his previous lives, he was proficient in reading and writing even as a youth. At the age of twelve, he spoke on the essential points of empowerment. From the age of sixteen, he taught the three cycles of Mind Teachings, beginning with the Great Commentary. Furthermore, until the age of thirty, he studied and mastered conduct, logic, the stages of the path, the tantric classes of mantra, and many methods of accomplishment, and also performed great deeds for the benefit of others. His son, the accomplished Namkha Gyaltsen, resided at Semoche Monastery in Ölung, Tsang, and was also known as the Accomplished Semoche. He received from his father the complete Kālacakra empowerment and the three cycles of Mind Teachings, along with their instructions. He also received the Smaller Commentary, 'Lotus Garland,' and some methods of accomplishment and minor instructions from his father's sister, the incarnate nun Jo-bum. He also received some treatises composed by Jetsun Yumo, such as the 'Essence Extraction Hundred Methods' composed by his father, and the 'Garland of Light,' a compilation of the sayings of the earlier Drom lineage lamas, and the 'Stainless Ornament' composed by Jo Tsun Khyung. He heard the teachings of the three cycles of Mind Teachings, along with their instructions, from Lama Dharmaśvara. He heard the lineage collections and other teachings from Ngö Wangtsen, and was renowned for his erudition. These were heard from Kharsarpa Namkha Ö. This lama had mastery over samādhi, attained unobstructed clairvoyance, and the prophecies he made (to Rinchen Tsemö, Umapa, Shogpo Neten, etc.) came to pass as they were. It is said that he remembered many lifetimes and displayed many miracles. I have also seen the biography written by the accomplished one himself and the thangka depicting his births, and I have no doubt that he was a great accomplished one. Later, the Dharma Lord Mön Drapa Rinchen Tsemö, renowned for his mastery of logic, direct perception, and other teachings, who resided at Bodong E, and the Dharma Lord Jamyang Sarma Sherab Özer, who had mastery over many collections of sūtras and tantras, who resided at Dölchung and Kyangthur, invited him to the small village monastery of Yerü Mönkar and requested all the empowerments and instructions, as well as the three cycles of Mind Teachings with all their parts. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
