That one known as the second throne holder is equal to the previous one in merit. At that time, in Kashmir, there was the son of a Brahmin named Somanatha, who was very intelligent. Because his father was a non-Buddhist, he mastered their doctrines in twelve years. His mother was a Buddhist, and she said, 'You must also learn my doctrine.' So, she had Somanatha taught the Dharma by a Pandit named Kache Bramze Shab. Somanatha was very handsome, and the Pandit's daughter said, 'You must come with me to listen to the Dharma.' He agreed and listened to much Dharma. At that time, Dulwai Jungne Lodoe, a disciple of the great Dus Zhabs, sent the volumes of 'Wangdor Tendar' (Abbreviated Initiation) and 'Wang Rabjyar' (Extensive Initiation) to Bramze Zhab. When Zla-ba Gonpo saw them, he was very impressed and went to Magadha, where he met the two Dus Zhabs and completely received the Bodhicitta Commentary (Byangchub Sempai Dreshko Sum) with all its parts. At that time, he debated with Pandit Kache Rinchen Dorje, and Zla-ba Gonpo was victorious. Rinchen Dorje said, 'Because of my words, my disciples will no longer trust me, so you should go elsewhere.' So he went to Tibet and descended upon Gnyos Lotsawa in Kharag. He translated the 'Vimalaprabha' (Drimamed Pai Od), but there was an obstacle in giving one hundred gold coins. In the meantime, the Pandit became displeased, and he took the remaining things and went to Phanyul Grab. Zhang Phochungwa carried him, and Dro Lotsawa Sherab Drak translated, completely translating the great commentary. Gnyos sent a message to Zhang Phochungwa saying, 'You have stolen my guru, so you should hide in the granary like a sparrow.' He said, 'Even if a hundred angry people threaten me with weapons, I will not be afraid; even if a hundred goddesses show me their smiles, I will not be attached.' So he stayed with the throne holder for a long time. Gnyos Ton Yeshe Chok offered eighteen gold coins. The monk Mongshe invited him to teach the Dharma for three years, and he never failed to offer gifts whenever they met. Jo Tsun Tsultrim Rinchen offered six gold coins. Yorowa Garton, Mangyuwa Tonma Sridar, Mondropa Jalgom, and others did much service, but he gave them nothing except for some individual teachings. The practitioner Konchok Srung, who was born in Phanyul Grab, was very skilled in Abhidharma, Sade, and medical texts, and was known for his great qualities. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After collecting everything, there were six gold srangs in total. He hung a silk scarf around his neck, offered his body, served the lama for a long time, and did as he was told, so he received all the scriptures and instructions. Many relics of this lama still remain in 'Phan-yul Rag-ma'i nang to this day. It is said that later, some of Jetsun's manuscripts, the six bone ornaments, and the Indian saint's earrings were also scattered, and some of them came into our hands. Lama Sgro-ston gnam-la brtsegs: He was born in 'Phan-yul Sgro-ris. At the age of twenty-six, he went to Dge-bshes Lo-ro-pa in the U-Tsang region with a gift full of mixed-sized turquoise, and studied extensively there until he was fifty-eight. Lo-ro-pa said, 'There is a great 'Chims mantra practitioner who is like a Vajradhara. Compared to him, I am like a cow.' However, I have also studied with the great translators Lyang Shakya brtson-'grus, 'Brog-mi Shakya ye-shes, and 'Gos Khug-pa lhas btsas, so I am also like a Vajradhara. If I knew the Kalachakra, I would still be like a cow.' Lama Gnam-la brtsegs was very devoted to the Kalachakra, and he asked, 'Who knows the Kalachakra?' Someone said, 'Pandita So-ma-na-tha knows.' He immediately went there, offered the pandita twelve gold srangs and a black horse, and served him for a long time, but the pandita only taught him sporadically. He also offered a small amount of gold to Lama dKon-mchog srungs and asked for teachings, but dKon-mchog srungs said that the pandita had a prohibition, so he did not give them. After that, after the pandita went to India, he stayed in Snor-bzang for three years, in Yer-pa for three years, and asked Lama Lha-rje go-bteg to teach him, and the lama gave him all the scriptures and instructions. Later, when the pandita came to Tibet, Lha-rje sgom-pa heard that Sgro-ston had obtained all the scriptures and instructions, and as soon as he met Sgro-ston, he said, 'Now I will give you whatever dharma you need.' Sgro-ston said, 'You were unwilling to give it all when I was young, and now that I am old, I will not ask for it.' The pandita said, 'You are satisfied with the dharma of dKon-mchog srungs, and if it did not come from me, then from whom did it come?' Then he left. Sgro-ston said, 'I am very grateful, it is all the kindness of the lama.' The pandita asked, 'What dharma did you receive?'
