This is the nature of patience, the stain of anger, the fragrance of patience is excellent, excellent bathing. This is the nature of diligence, the stain of laziness, the fragrance of diligence, excellent bathing. This is meditation, the stain of distraction, the fragrance of meditation, excellent bathing. This is wisdom, wrong wisdom, the fragrance of wisdom, to the one who makes excellent bathing. To the supreme body, speech, and mind of the Buddhas, although there are no afflictive obscurations, in order to purify the obscurations of our three doors, I offer a bath for the body with pure water.
