Just as it is not born from a lotus, nor does form exist in me with a difference of essence, like relying on vines, etc., similarly, the remaining four aggregates, such as feeling, are also not me. Combining them in this way, one should realize their self-nature to be emptiness, thereby destroying the twenty mountains of the view of the collection of existences. In the extensive commentary represented by one's own aggregates, it is said, like the sky. Things are not born arbitrarily from imagination without assembly, nor do they arise from a constant, singular, pervasive time, as some non-Buddhists believe. Nor do they arise from primordial matter or nature, as the Samkhya school of non-Buddhists believes, nor do they arise from an essence that has already been established as a cause, nor do they arise from a great powerful being, nor are they born from a causeless source. So, from what do they arise? For example, a person and his aggregates arise from ignorant parents, consciousness, actions, virtuous and non-virtuous actions of existence, and craving. Other things also arise depending on the assembly of their own causes and conditions. Please understand this. Although I could explain it in detail here, I have not written it because I am afraid of being verbose, so please learn from other sources. Holding bad ethics and bad asceticism as supreme, and the three defilements of wrongly viewing one's own body as self and what belongs to self, and doubting the path to liberation, are called the three bonds. These three universally binding things are obstacles on the road to the city of liberation. Please understand this. If one thinks that even if one does not make effort oneself, one can attain liberation solely through the power of others, then attaining liberation depends on oneself, because for this, others cannot take liberation and give it, so there is no need for the help of others. However, by hearing many scriptures, possessing ethics and meditation, and striving to practice the four noble truths, such as the truth of suffering, one will attain liberation. Moreover, one should always study the higher training in ethics, the higher training in wisdom, and the higher training in mental concentration, which are superior to the ethics of non-Buddhists. The monastic precepts that a monk studies exceed

Regarding the fifty-two, however, the commentary says there are more than one hundred and fifty kinds of training, but it is not clear which training it is. There are also three extra trainings, which are also completely included in the three trainings mentioned earlier. Calling the king the lord of the land, in short, the mindfulness belonging to the body, that is, contemplating the impermanence, impurity, and unpleasantness of the body, this abiding in mindfulness of the body is the second path for the Sugatas to go to liberation, there is no other path besides this, so it is praised as the only path to go to liberation. Mindfulness should be cultivated and protected, because due to the decline of mindfulness, all good dharmas will be destroyed. What is the way of mindfulness? People's lives have many dangers, like being blown by the wind. Water bubbles appear in the water and quickly burst, even more impermanent and easy to destroy than this. The intermediate state between inhaling, exhaling, and sleeping, waking up without dying, is very rare. The end of the human body is to be burned into ashes by fire, or eventually dried by the sun, or eventually decayed and disintegrated, the commentary explains as being soaked in water. The ultimate impurity is explained in the commentary as being eaten by creatures, and there is no essence like this: as mentioned before, being burned by fire and destroyed, being rotted by water and degenerated. Disintegrating separately, being destroyed and destroyed by creatures, please know that this is the nature of things. When the future world is destroyed by fire, the earth, Mount Sumeru, and the great sea in the outer world are burned and burned by the light of the seven suns, and then sentient beings are also burned, let alone other remnants? Not even dust will remain, let alone the destruction of extremely weak people, needless to say, it will definitely be destroyed. This also symbolizes the way of being destroyed by water and wind. Therefore, all these things contained in samsara are impermanent and have no independent self-nature. Like a monarch, there is no protection, like a friend, there is no refuge, like a relative, there is no place to go.
