Entering the supreme Mahayana path of the Buddhas, the six perfections, is called armor practice. This is explained in the Ornament [for Clear Realization] with "Those individually, giving, etc." The eighth, entering practice: In the extensive and intermediate [texts], it is extensively explained, and in the Eight Thousand Verse [Prajnaparamita Sutra], only the essence is shown. Here, too, with "Having donned great armor," etc., the nine entering practices are summarized in two lines. That is, because it is not overcome by opposing forces, having practiced the great armor practice, having donned armor, and through the gate of subduing the illusions of demons, because of the reason for entering the Great Vehicle, it is also highly praised as a great bodhisattva. This is explained in the Ornament [for Clear Realization] with meditative absorption, the formless, etc. The ninth, accumulation practice: In the extensive and intermediate [texts], it is shown with many sutra passages, and in the Eight Thousand Verse [Prajnaparamita Sutra], only the nature of the seventeen accumulation practices is explained. Here, it is summarized with five verses, such as, for example, a magician. For example, a magician at a crossroads conjures stones, wooden pieces, etc., into horses, cattle, etc., and conjures many ordinary beings, and those [conjured beings] cut off each other's heads, showing illusions like the number of many billions, etc. But in reality, not a single sentient being is killed, and at that time, those to be killed do not exist as they appear, but it appears as if they are being killed. Just as that example is, so too, the bodhisattva knows that all these beings appear to be true, but they do not exist as they appear, like a mirage, and therefore has no fear of faults such as afflictions. Form, perception, feeling, consciousness, compositional factors, and consciousness are not bound or liberated by true clinging and karma and afflictions in the ultimate sense, because they do not exist in the ultimate sense. Thus, by knowing that all phenomena such as form are empty of inherent existence in the ultimate sense, one engages in accomplishing enlightenment in conventional terms. At that time, it is necessary to have no shrinking mind thinking, "There is nothing at all," because although there is nothing at all in the ultimate sense, there is in conventional terms. Such knowledge is the supreme armor of the conduct of holy beings. For what reason is this practice called the Mahayana path of the bodhisattva? Because that path

Here, the Bodhisattva's vehicle is praised from the state of non-abiding in the extinction of all sentient beings, that is, through the door of establishment. Such a vehicle is as vast as the sky and like a great palace where Bodhisattvas reside. Because it can manifestly hear the joys, happiness, and pleasures of the temporary and ultimate, it is the supreme vehicle. When a Bodhisattva rides this vehicle to the Buddha-land, there is no object of going to the east and other directions. It is said that going to non-abiding extinction is also not directed towards going to the true reality there. For example, when a fire is extinguished, the place where the fire goes cannot be found. Therefore, it is said that extinction is when the defilements of one's own mind are reversed and abandoned by the power of wisdom. A Bodhisattva knows that the cause of the past, the result of the future, and the nature of the present arising are all not objects of focus in the ultimate sense. Therefore, the dharmas of the three times are naturally pure. Whatever is naturally pure is unconditioned and free from elaboration, so there is no elaboration of conceptual thought. Knowing and abiding in this way is practicing the supreme perfection of wisdom. Although the Ornament Sutra speaks of the separate increase of the assemblies of grounds, they are included in the accomplishment of the accumulations, so they are not clearly distinguished here. Likewise, the accomplishment of the antidotal accumulations is not separately mentioned. This is explained in the Ornament Sutra by the six perfections, such as love and giving. The tenth, the accomplishment of definite emergence, although there are many sutra passages in the extensive, intermediate, and concise versions, here, the eight accomplishments of definite emergence are collected and shown, that is, from "Bodhi mind, virtuous wisdom" to "the first entry," collected in five verses. Moreover, when a Bodhisattva is virtuous and attains a pure ground by knowing the meaning, at that time, he knows and contemplates that all things are naturally unborn, and acts accordingly. Although he generates great compassion for all sentient beings, he does not give rise to the thought that sentient beings are real. This is practicing the supreme perfection of wisdom. If it is not like that, if the mind
