The Explanation of the Condensed Sutra, "Clarifying the Victorious Ones' Intentions." The Explanation of the Condensed Sutra, "Clarifying the Victorious Ones' Intentions." The Explanation of the Condensed Sutra, "Clarifying the Victorious Ones' Intentions" is present. Namo Guru Manjughoshaya. Born from the vast ocean of the two accumulations, Manifestly beautiful with high tiers of abandonment and realization, Possessing an environment of the sun and moon of wisdom and compassion, I respectfully prostrate to the powerful lord of the earth, the Thubwang. The close heart-son of that supreme teacher, The holy regent Mipham Jamyang, And the great chariot masters Nagarjuna and Asanga, I respectfully prostrate to those who are the ornaments of the world. Sedgé Zangpo, who made the Prajnaparamita flourish and expand, Tsongkhapa, the lord of the teachings of the snowy land, Gyaltsab Tendar, the lord of reasoning, The supreme of the holy spiritual friends, I always praise. Among all the Dharma teachings spoken by the Victorious Ones, The most excellent and supreme is the Queen Mother, the Prajnaparamita, From which the very condensed meaning of the Condensed Sutra, I wish to differentiate slightly, so listen attentively. Here, I will condense and explain the essence of the Holy Condensed Meaning. If I were to elaborate, there would be the three categories of extensive, intermediate, and condensed, and the Ornament of Clear Realization, etc., could be explained in conjunction with the extensive category, but I fear it would be too much. However, since this Condensed Sutra is similar in meaning to the Eight Thousand Verses, I will mainly rely on that, and add a little of the Ornament, etc., and explain it following the commentaries of the teachers Sedgé Zangpo and Sangye Yeshe Zhab. This has three parts: entering the text, the meaning of the text, and the conclusion. The first has three parts: the title, the translation homage, and the connection and manner of entry. The first is "In the Indian language," etc. This has two parts. The first is the Sanskrit word from Arya to Gatha. The second is the translation of that into Tibetan. Arya means noble, Prajna means wisdom, Parama means to the other shore, Ita means gone, Sanchaya means condensed, and Gatha means verses. The second is "Homage to the Holy Manjushri," which was composed by the translator. The third is "Then again, the Blessed One," which means "bestowed the command." Having previously spoken of the three categories of extensive, intermediate, and condensed, then again the Blessed One, with the fourfold retinue of the two parents of monks and the two parents of lay practitioners, and...

In order to make the bodhisattva retinue with magical powers extremely happy with Dharma talks, and also to show this concise version of the Prajñāpāramitā, he conceived this intention. At that time, he did not use prose, but spoke these verses that were about to be explained. Second, the main text has two parts: encouraging listening and the main text itself. The first part is from "joy and respect" etc., until "please listen." It means that those who want to listen should keep in mind the joy, the respect with trust in it, and the great faith in pursuing the truth. All three are different aspects of faith. As the teacher said in the commentary to this treatise: "There are three kinds of differences in faith." What to listen to? Listening eliminates the obscuration of knowledge and the obscuration of afflictions, that is, through the method of abandonment, pursuing the Buddha's fruit that transcends all faults of defilement, and taming one's mind with the Bodhicitta and compassion that arise to benefit sentient beings. Therefore, the actions of those Bodhisattvas, that is, the Prajñāpāramitā, are practiced by heroes to benefit others. Please listen with reverence to that Prajñāpāramitā. Implicitly, this shows that all the activities of the Buddha's children, represented by the Prajñāpāramitā, should be experienced through hearing, thinking, and meditating. Second, the main text itself, in terms of the words expressed, has eight chapters, and in terms of the meaning expressed, there are eight things, the latter being the three wisdoms, the four applications, and the result—the Dharmakāya. This, like the first chapter of the Abhisamayālaṅkāra, shows the ten dharmas that represent omniscience, and the first of the ten dharmas is the generation of Bodhicitta. First, it is shown through the two aspects of example and meaning, that is, "In this Jambudvipa, countless rivers flow." etc., using one verse as a metaphor, and from "The Śrāvaka disciples of the Buddhas" to "Acting by the power of the Buddha, not by one's own power." combining the meanings. This has two points: the meaning of the words and the extended meaning. The first point is that when the Blessed One appointed the elder Subhūti as the expounder of the Prajñāpāramitā, Śāriputra's thought was whether Subhūti's exposition of the Prajñāpāramitā was relying on his own power or on the power of the Buddha?
