It is explained by "after ceasing," etc. Therefore, it does not rely on wrong views to be contemplated, nor does it exist. However, these four dhyanas with their limbs become the support for attaining the supreme perfect enlightenment of the Buddhas. As it says in the Ornament, "Briefly, extensively, and of the Buddhas," etc. Bodhisattvas who have attained supreme wisdom and abide in these four dhyanas will also experience the four formless samadhis. These four dhyanas are very beneficial for attaining the supreme perfect enlightenment of the Buddhas. Even so, the Bodhisattva does not train to merely exhaust the outflows of afflictions, but to abandon the obscurations to knowledge. Such meditation is a wonderful quality of the first bhumi and so on. Even abiding in the samadhi of the four dhyanas, there is no grasping at signs with the clinging to reality. Bodhisattvas of the desire realm who abide in the four dhyanas, even if the body is destroyed, will again take birth in the desire realm according to the minds of sentient beings, because they can do great deeds for others in the desire realm, but not so much in the two upper realms. As it says in the Ornament, "Three thousand world beings, hearers, and," etc. Then, extensively showing the six perfections that appear from the occasions of uninterrupted peak yoga, the means of eliminating wrong views, and gradual yoga, etc. There are many words in the three Mothers, and here also it says, "For example, if a person of Jambudvipa had never before gone to the heavenly realm," etc., until the end of the fifth chapter. For example, if a person of Jambudvipa had never before gone to the excellent city of the heavenly realm, and later went to that city by means of miraculous power, and saw how enjoyment was fully possessed in that heavenly city, and later came to this human realm, seeing the enjoyments of this realm as inferior, they would not be attached to it. Likewise, Bodhisattvas who possess the supreme qualities of realization are diligent in that yoga, abiding in the samadhi of dhyana, not being attached to it, and abandoning it, again generating the mind in the desire realm.

They abide in acting for the benefit of sentient beings, without attachment to the bliss of meditative concentration and desirable qualities. Just as a lotus in water is not stained by mud, these great Bodhisattvas do not dwell on or become stained by the mere qualities of children desiring the Dharma. These great beings abide in the desire realm solely for the purpose of fully maturing all sentient beings, purifying the Buddha-fields, perfecting the Dharma of the perfections, and benefiting sentient beings. These great Bodhisattvas intentionally take birth in the desire and form realms, but not in the formless realm, because they think that being born in the formless realm would lead to the decline of the qualities of enlightenment and the vast conduct of the perfections. They do not seek birth in the formless realm because there are no sentient beings tormented by great suffering in the formless realm, and therefore their compassion is small. For example, if someone finds a treasure of jewels, but sees that he does not need so much for himself alone, he does not generate a desire for it, but keeps it hidden. Later, at another time, he takes out all those jewels, and after taking them out, he goes home and, without attachment, distributes them to relatives and others. Similarly, a skilled Bodhisattva gives happiness and bliss to others, and having attained the four peaceful meditative concentrations, he does not become attached to them. Instead, with that bliss of meditative concentration, he abandons the equipoise of having attained meditative concentration. Because he is filled with compassion for beings, he enters the desire realm again, that is, he takes birth. This way is a great characteristic of how Bodhisattvas benefit sentient beings. If a Bodhisattva abides in meditative concentration, but generates a mind that desires the Hearer-Solitary Realizer vehicle for his own sake, then his mind has not remained calm, but has become agitated and distracted. In this way, he will fall away from attaining the qualities of a Buddha, just as a ship is destroyed. Furthermore, even if a Bodhisattva diligently enjoys the five desirable qualities such as forms and sounds, but as long as he is free from the mindset of seeking the Hearer-Solitary Realizer vehicle and only thinking of himself, and he delights in cultivating loving-kindness, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment, then he is a Bo
