It is also said in that very [Ratnakuta Sutra]: "Whoever fully understands the nature of drum sounds fully understands emptiness." Furthermore, as it is said: "Manjushri, the reality of the nature of all dharmas, without a place to dwell, without coming or going, like the sky." As it is said, the Dharmakaya, emptiness, is like the sky, and in ultimate truth, it cannot be pointed out as dwelling here. Just as the sky does not go elsewhere or come from elsewhere, the Dharmakaya, emptiness, does not go from here to there, nor does it come from there to here. This is just an analogy. Furthermore, if someone were to ask Subhuti: "In the three thousand great thousand world realms, how many particles of earth are there? If all those particles were ground into powder, like a collection of extremely small particles, would that collection of powder be many or few?" The answer would be: "Many." If a collection of particles truly existed in reality, then the Blessed One would not use the term "collection of extremely small particles," because if they truly existed, it should be said that they exist. The reason for saying "collection of extremely small particles" is that they do not exist in ultimate truth. The Thus-Gone One knows that they have not truly gathered into a collection, so he says it that way. Therefore, the term "collection of extremely small particles" is used. The smallest unit of all form is the extremely small particle, and there is no particle smaller than that. Although some believe it to be an indivisible particle, this view is refuted by reasoning, so it must be admitted that it is a divisible particle. Even as a divisible particle, it is formed by six particles surrounding it in the four directions and above and below. If it were not so, the way to refute it with reasoning has already been briefly explained. The way to form gross matter from extremely small particles is as follows: seven extremely small particles form one minute particle; seven minute particles form one subtle particle; seven subtle particles form one iron particle; seven iron particles form one water particle; seven water particles form one rabbit particle; seven rabbit particles form one sheep particle; seven sheep particles form one ox particle; seven ox particles form one sunbeam particle; seven sunbeam particles form one louse egg particle; seven louse egg particles form one louse particle; seven louse particles form one finger joint; twenty-four finger joints form one cubit; four cubits form one fathom; five hundred fathoms form one...
