Just as relying on various parts is called a chariot, similarly, relying on the aggregates is called a conventional being. It is said as such. As before, when asked if one thinks there is any Dharma of Buddhahood, the answer is that there is none. Then it is said, "It is just so," and so on. Therefore, in the ultimate sense, there is not the slightest Dharma of Buddhahood to be found, but in the conventional sense, it is said that one attains complete enlightenment and becomes a Buddha. The previous statement was made from the perspective of the path of learning, while this refers to the absence of anything in the wisdom that the Buddha sees as it is, so Kashyapa said. Furthermore, Subhuti, any Dharma is equal and the same in that it is not truly established. Because of the establishment of such equality, there is no unequal Dharma. This equality is also equal in the absence of beings, the absence of life, and the absence of a self of a person. Although no Dharma is established in the ultimate sense, in the conventional sense, through all the virtuous Dharmas such as giving, the Tathagata becomes a Buddha, and the virtuous Dharmas in the Buddha's mind-stream are also called Buddha. The three, such as the absence of beings, prevent the extreme of addition, and the virtuous Dharmas, etc., prevent the extreme of subtraction. By preventing the two extremes, even if the Dharmas are not established in the ultimate sense, in the conventional sense, if any being in the three thousand great thousand worlds were to accumulate piles of gold and other seven precious jewels as numerous as Mount Sumeru, the king of mountains, and give them away, it would not be comparable to someone who, even if only for the sake of attaining Buddhahood, upholds a four-line verse and, after understanding it well, proclaims it to others. The merit of the former giving cannot be compared to even one percent of the latter, and it is even unbearable. The meaning is as previously stated. Therefore, the intention of proclaiming that the benefit of hearing and contemplating the Prajnaparamita is greater than the merit of such giving is that even if the result of giving without realizing emptiness is great, one can only obtain the result of higher rebirth as a god or human, while the Prajnaparamita

It is considered that if one engages in listening, thinking, and so on, one will definitely attain the state of liberation and omniscience. However, is this referring to the stage of the path of meditation? The teaching that the Tathagata has no true attachment to sentient beings indicates: Subhuti, even in the subsequent attainment, does the Tathagata think, 'I must liberate these sentient beings who are bound by true clinging from the ultimate truth'? Do you think the Buddha has such thoughts in mind? Subhuti, you should not think that way. The reason is that in ultimate truth, the Tathagata has not liberated any sentient being bound by true clinging, thereby achieving liberation. If the Tathagata had such a thought, it would itself become a fault of the Tathagata clinging to self, sentient beings, persons, and life. That is unreasonable, because the Tathagata has no self-grasping or clinging, etc. Because he has abandoned all manifestations of self-grasping. The Tathagata can liberate sentient beings bound by true clinging in conventional terms, but there is no liberation in ultimate truth. Because if it exists in ultimate truth, it cannot be changed, so it cannot be liberated, neither possible nor feasible. Subhuti, the so-called self-grasping of clinging to self, the Tathagata said that he has abandoned it, and he himself has no such true attachment. Even so, ordinary people who do not understand the truth of selflessness still cling to and grasp all phenomena as self. Here, ordinary beings who do not understand the meaning of suchness are called children. The noble ones directly see the suchness of phenomena, so they are not called children, but wise ones. Because those ordinary beings do not understand suchness, they are like children, so they are referred to by that name. The meaning of 'no clinging' can also be explained as not being like being grasped by self-grasping. Specifying children is to avoid calling those ordinary people who are proficient in and understand the meaning of selflessness as children. Subhuti, the so-called children, ordinary people, the Tathagata said that those do not truly exist as beings in ultimate truth.
