I need it. Therefore, in order to give a direct prophecy of attaining Buddhahood, it is necessary to have a prior realization of emptiness. Direct prophecies are not given to bodhisattvas who are bound by clinging to reality. Because those who cling to the Dharma with a sense of object and subject, and are bound by clinging to reality, are not suitable vessels for direct prophecy. Because they cannot transform phenomena that are established as real, it has already been said that nothing such as object and subject can be established. What is the reason for giving prophecy? Why is that? The term "Tathagata" refers to the wisdom that understands the true suchness of all phenomena being empty of inherent existence, and it is a supreme term of wisdom that is expressed through that. In summary, the meaning of "Tathagata" is the manifestation and understanding of suchness, having abandoned the two obscurations. It means that the mind goes or knows in accordance with how suchness is. If some sentient beings say that the Tathagata manifestly and completely awakened to perfect enlightenment in the ultimate sense, then that statement is indeed false. The reason is that there is no Dharma that is awakened to in the ultimate sense. Although something like this has been mentioned before, it is applied to different situations. Although there is repetition in the words, there is no fault of repetition in the meaning. And understanding this meaning well depends on understanding the meaning of the fundamental absence of inherent existence. The Dharma that the Tathagata awakened to or taught has neither the true Dharma of the ultimate truth that is established by its own nature, nor the false Dharma of the conventional truth that is established there. There also appears to be another different way of explaining this. Therefore, the Tathagata understands and manifests all phenomena that encompass the two truths, being empty of inherent existence without any difference. If we consider it in that way, the suchness of all phenomena being empty of truth is the same as the Dharmakaya of the Buddha, so all phenomena can be called the Dharma of the Buddha. This is stated in the Ornament for Clear Realization: "Those with self-nature characteristics." And in the sutra called the Jewel Heap Sutra: Manjushri asked Shariputra: Do you believe that all phenomena are equal to the lion's roar of the Buddha? The answer was: Manjushri,
