The eighth makes happy. Here, some argue that those who wander everywhere are impure because they wander, eat, and drink everywhere. Removing thorns is also impure because they discard or desire thorns. "Demon" means to take or hold; the Sanskrit word for demon is "graha," which means both approaching to take and holding. May I be protected from the fears and demons mentioned earlier and become peaceful and auspicious. Second, eating essence from food, etc. According to the Indian text by Master Śūraṅgabhadra, those who eat essence from food are gods, those who eat fetuses are nāgas, those who drink blood are asuras, those who eat fat are yakshas, those who eat flesh are rākshasas, those who eat marrow are pretas, those who eat feet are flesh-eaters, those who eat new grain are bhūtas, those who take life are gandharvas, those who eat vomit are piśāchas, those who eat feces are corpse piśāchas, those who drink urine are emaciators, those who drink what flows from the anus are forgetters, those who eat leftovers are madmen, those who eat snot are shadow oppressors, those who eat thick snot are oppressors, those who eat impure things are ḍākinīs, those who eat offerings are nāgas, those who eat rosaries are Yamas, those who eat scents are bird demons, those who eat flowers make the mothers happy, those who eat fruits and crops are wanderers, and eating offerings is connected with removing thorns. In the offering ritual famous as the Candragomin text, those who eat fetuses are Indra, those who drink blood are ḍākinīs, those who eat fat are mothers, those who eat flesh are Yamas, those who eat marrow are planets, those who eat feet are rākshasas, those who eat new grain are garuḍas, those who take life are Dhṛtarāṣṭra, those who eat vomit are evil eyes, those who drink urine are brothers and sisters, those who drink what flows from the anus are water gods, those who eat leftovers are rākshasīs, those who drink saliva are nāgas, those who eat snot are earth gods, those who eat thick snot are humans or non-humans, those who eat impure things are bhūtas, those who eat offerings are yakshas, those who eat rosaries are Brahmās, those who eat scents are Virūḍhaka, those who eat poison are Vaiśravaṇa, those who eat flowers are Mahādevas, those who eat fruits are Śreṣṭhins, those who eat crops are wind gods, and those who eat offerings are fire gods. It is said that these are with their retinues. Eating essence and eating feces are not explained as those who steal the mind. In some Tibetan Great White Umbrella Averters, those who eat rosaries are Brahma demons, those who eat scents are Dhṛtarāṣṭra, those who eat fruits are Śreṣṭhins, those who eat vomit are evil eyes, those who eat poison are Vaiśravaṇa, those who eat fetuses are Indra, and those who eat offerings are fire gods.

The flesh-eating Yama, the leg-eating Rakshasa, the flower-eating Ishvara, the saliva-drinking Naga, the crop-eating wind god, the offering-eating Yaksha, the impurity-eating Bhuta, the fat-eating Graha, the snot-eating earth lord, the pus-eating Asura, the mucus-eating Mi'amchi, the grease-eating female demon, the blood-drinking Dakini, the newborn-eating Garuda, the urine-drinking four sisters, the leftovers-eating Rakshasi, the odor-eating hungry ghost, which is combined with emaciation, and although the order is different from the previous one, the meaning is mostly the same. These are to be eaten according to the literal meaning of the words. Among the foods, eating essence means essence is luster; womb means meat; blood means blood stains; grease means cooked animal fat; flesh means raw meat; fat means animal fat; marrow means the marrow inside the bones; newborn seems to refer to the special state of an animal at birth, but it also refers to a mixture of brown sugar and turmeric. To take life means to cut off. Vomit refers to food residue vomited from the mouth. Feces refers to excrement, urine refers to urine, drain refers to the drainage hole of a temple or village, saliva, nasal mucus, mucus from food residue in the mouth, unclean food, effigy torma, rosaries of Bodhi seeds, etc., the fragrance of sandalwood, etc., mixed incense, ghee homa, mental disturbance caused by heart wind, etc., various flowers, fruits, and various crops. As substitutes for these, there are some different statements: for womb and taking life, use three sweets; for taking the mind, use wine; for vomit, use medicine and honey; for feces, use tsampa; for urine, use alcohol; for what flows from the drain, use various kinds of water; for saliva, use honey; for nasal mucus, use a hen's egg; for mucus, use a rooster's egg; for unclean things, use garlic and onions; for torma, use dough. There are other differences as well. Rosaries, fragrance, incense, homa, flowers, fruits, and crops are the same as before. These are listed here only to know the categories. Third, the vidya-mantras performed by all the aforementioned demons are to be cut off. Strike with the phurba. Cutting off and striking with the phurba, as Śūraṅgama-vajra says: Strike and cut off the forms and vidya-mantras of all those demons on the linga with a metal nail, and then strike and suppress the linga with the phurba. In reality, it is to suppress those vidya-mantras.
