I say, "There is no birth." Then, how is it done? In the root text, it says: If I had created it, then it would not arise dependently. Because these aggregates, those aggregates arise dependently. Thus, it should be acknowledged that suffering and so on arise dependently on causes and conditions. As it is said: Suffering is created by me, created by others, and created by both. Causelessness is asserted by the heretics. You say it arises dependently. As it is said. In the thirteenth chapter, the examination of formations, the root text says: All formations are of the nature of deception, therefore, they are false. Explaining its meaning, it is said that appearing as if it exists, even though it is not born from its own nature, is the meaning of the scriptures of deception and falsehood. Here, it is explained that all conditioned things appear to be established by their own nature, even though they are not established by their own nature, which is the meaning of falsehood and deception. The Hearers' school considers that because it is impermanent and of the nature of destruction, it is the meaning of deception and falsehood, which is one view. That all formations are of the nature of deception and that the results of actions are not deceptive are not contradictory, because the meaning of the results of actions not being deceptive is that when a result arises from a cause, they do not confuse each other. The sutra says: Monks, whatever is of the nature of conditioned deception, those are false. Whatever is of the nature of non-deception, Nirvana, that is the ultimate truth. As it is said that conditioned things are of the nature of deception, and the ultimate truth of emptiness of self-nature is of the nature of non-deception. In the fourteenth chapter, the examination of conjunction, the Hundred Treatises says: That which exists in dependence on something, that cannot be independent. All these are without independence, therefore I am not existent. As it is said that I or the person arises in dependence on others, therefore there is no establishment of self-nature, this statement can also be applied to all other dharmas. That one dharma is conjoined with another dharma, both this "other" and "conjunction" are established in dependence, so there is no self-nature. In the root text, it says: Conjunction becomes other and other. And so on. If the other is other than the other. And so on. That which exists in dependence on something, that should not be other than that. Because it is said.

Here, it is explained that the pot is different from the coarse cloth, which depends on the coarse cloth. The establishment of the pot's essence does not depend on the coarse cloth, and the difference between dependent establishment and non-dependent establishment should be distinguished. The unique reasoning that runs through the beginning and the end is a difficult point, so it should be repeatedly remembered. As it is said, understanding this is crucial. In the fifteenth chapter, during the examination of self-nature, "Self-nature is uncreated and does not depend on others." Thus, the true self-nature is the emptiness of the self-nature of all phenomena. It is not created by causes and conditions, does not depend on length and shortness, and abides without confusion in the three times on the entities. The heat of fire and the wetness of water, etc., although known in the world as temporary self-nature, are not the true self-nature. Here, when explaining the meaning of "not seeing is the supreme seeing," the meaning of the quotations from the Compendium Sutra, such as "forms are not seen," is summarized: For example, in the world, when looking at the sky, when one does not see obstructive objects such as obscuring clouds, one says that one sees the sky. Similarly, when wisdom does not see the truly established object to be refuted, it is established as seeing the emptiness of the ultimate truth, and one should understand it by combining it with the meaning in this way. Also, in the root verses: "To say 'exists' is to grasp permanence, to say 'does not exist' is to view annihilation." etc., if one believes that things etc. are established by self-nature, one will fall into the extreme of permanence. If one believes that they do not exist in conventional terms, one will fall into the view of annihilation. However, "previously existed, now does not exist," therefore one will fall into the fault of annihilation. As it is said, if one previously admitted that it was established by self-nature, and later when it is destroyed, if one believes that it is destroyed while being established by self-nature, it will also be regarded as annihilation. Also, only the view of the Madhyamaka school does not fall into the extremes of existence and non-existence, and is free from the faults of permanence and annihilation, and it is not so for other schools. As it is said, as long as one does not understand how to establish karma and its effects, bondage and liberation, etc., in the absence of self-nature established by one's own essence, no matter how hard one tries to abandon the views of permanence and annihilation, one will not be able to transcend these two. It should be understood as such. In the sixteenth chapter, during the examination of bondage and liberation. In the root verses: "If actions are a wheel,
