Refutation of unreasonable arguments. First: If all these are empty, there will be no arising and no destruction. Then, you should not have the Four Noble Truths. Because there are no Four Noble Truths, it is not reasonable to fully understand, hate, practice, and manifest. Thus it is said. The Hinayana school says: If one believes that all internal and external things are empty of inherent existence, many serious faults will arise. Why? If one believes so, no things will arise or be destroyed. Therefore, you who say that the Four Noble Truths are without inherent existence should not have the Four Noble Truths. The reason is that if things do not arise or be destroyed, then it is not reasonable for suffering to arise from the origin. If it is not reasonable, then it is not reasonable to abandon suffering through the path and the cessation of suffering. If this is the case, because there are no Four Noble Truths, it is not reasonable to fully understand suffering, abandon the origin, practice the path, and manifest cessation. Because there are no four to be known, the four knowers are also unreasonable. Second: Because they do not exist, the four fruits do not exist either. If there are no four fruits, there are no fruit-holders. There are no entrants either. Thus it is said. Because the understanding of the truth of suffering and so on does not exist, the four fruits do not exist either. If the four fruits of stream-enterer and so on do not exist, then the noble beings who abide in these, the four who abide in the fruits, do not exist either. If they do not exist, then the four who have entered the fruits do not exist either. Third: If the eight types of individuals do not exist, the Sangha does not exist. Because there are no Noble Truths, the Dharma does not exist either. If the Dharma and Sangha do not exist, how can the Buddha exist? If one speaks of emptiness in this way, it harms the Three Jewels. Thus it is said. If the four fruit-holders and the four entrants, that is, the eight types of individuals, do not exist, the Sangha Jewel does not exist either. Therefore, because there are no Four Noble Truths, there is no Sangha Jewel. If there is no Sangha Jewel, then its Dharma does not exist either. Realizing the two truths of cessation and path.

are the reality of the supreme Dharma, and the supreme Dharma of the scriptures that explain it. If there are the supreme Dharma and the Sangha, then how could there be a Buddha? Because the Buddha arises from the practice of the supreme Dharma. Therefore, if one speaks of the meaning of emptiness in that way, it also harms the Three Jewels. The second is: For those who have results, saying that there is non-dharma and dharma, and worldly names, harms everything. That's what it says. Furthermore, to you who say that, it is unreasonable to say that there are both desirable and undesirable results arising from non-dharma, unwholesome deeds, and dharma, wholesome deeds, and that worldly names such as "go, sit, eat," etc., harm everything. That's what it says. Second, there are four answers: showing that what others say is an argument without realizing the reality of dependent arising; showing that one's own view, the meaning of emptiness, is the meaning of dependent arising; for those who do not accept that, all establishments are not possible; if one sees the reality of dependent arising, one will see the reality of the four truths. The first has two: showing that the faults established by others do not fall on oneself, and that the faults fall on the one who refutes them. The first has three: the reason for not allowing the statement of faults, showing that it is not allowed to state faults, and that not only is there no fault but there are merits. The first has two: showing the argument of not realizing the three meanings, and showing that arguing in that way will not realize the two truths. The first is: To explain this, you have not realized the need for emptiness, emptiness, and the meaning of emptiness, therefore it is harmful in that way. That's what it says. I will answer your argument, because you have not realized what is the need to reveal emptiness and the meaning of the nature of emptiness, therefore you think that revealing the argument in that way will harm us. The second has five: what is the nature of the truth that is not realized, if one does not know the two truths, one will not know the reality of the scriptures, the need to reveal the two truths, the faults of holding wrong views about the two truths, because the two truths are difficult to realize, so the teacher did not reveal them at first.
