Therefore, it should be understood in this way. Thereafter, these conditioned phenomena are shown to be not real because they have the change of disintegration in each moment. Then, in the nature of some things, these container and content worlds are real, and in relation to the subsequent wisdom of the noble ones, they are not real, they are false, thus it is shown. For those who believe in the profound, conditioned phenomena are not real, that is, it is not established by nature that they change in each moment, nor is it real, that is, it does not change in each moment, thus both are negated. Because the basis for measuring whether there is change or not is not established by nature. As previously stated, this way of teaching the Dharma is taught in accordance with the purpose of subduing the disciples of the Buddha, because it is taught in accordance with the minds of the disciples, thereby maturing and liberating them. The fourth part is divided into two

The continuity in the manner of arising is also not annihilation, because it arises in the manner of imputation depending on causes. The fifth is: The teachings of the Buddhas, the protectors of the world, become nectar, it is neither the same meaning nor different, neither annihilation nor permanence. When the perfect Buddhas also perish, the wisdom of the solitary Buddhas arises without depending on others. Thus it is said. The teachings of the Buddhas who have become the protectors of the world, becoming the nectar of the supreme Dharma, that is because of depending and establishing or arising, in essence it is neither the same meaning nor different, nor is it the deep meaning of annihilation or permanence that one should strive to realize, if one strives, even if one realizes Suchness in this life without attaining Nirvana, if one leaves good imprints on it, one can also realize Suchness and attain Nirvana in other lives. For example, when the perfect Buddhas do not appear in the world and the Hearers also perish, the wisdom of the solitary Buddhas arises without depending on other things such as spiritual friends. The second is: The quotations and so on that were cited earlier when explaining that I and mine have no self-nature. The third is: The commentary on the eighteenth chapter of the treatise called "Examination of Self and Phenomena." Fourth, showing that time is empty of self-nature has two parts: refuting that time exists by its own nature, and refuting its establishment. The first has three parts: explaining the text of the treatise, combining it with scripture, and indicating the name. The first has two parts: generally refuting that the three times exist by their own nature, and separately refuting the views of one's own and other schools. The first has three parts: refuting that the two times of dependence and non-dependence on the past exist by their own nature, applying this reasoning to the other two times, and applying the Dharma to other names. The first has two parts: refuting that time dependent on the past and future exists by its own nature. The first is: The present arising and the future, if dependent on the past, then the present arising and the future will exist in the past time. The present arising and the future, if they are not there, then how can the present arising and the future depend on it? Thus it is said. If phenomena exist by their own nature

If it is thought that the three times exist by their own nature, if the present and future exist by their own nature, since they do not go beyond the two, it is reasonable that the present and future depend on the past time. If they depend, then the present and future will exist in the past time. If those two times are established by their own nature, then their dependence on the past will also become existent by its own nature, and it is not reasonable for dependent establishment to be established by its own nature, because self-nature should not change. If the present and future do not exist in that past time, then how can those two times depend on that time by their own nature? It is not reasonable, because they do not exist at that time. This is pervasive, because if there is dependence by own nature, then the basis of dependence and the object of dependence should exist at the same time. Although our own system nominally says that the three times are mutually dependent, it is different from the view of others who say that the former depends on the latter. The three times commonly known in the world are considered to be the past, present, and future, but here, the past and future that depend on each present thing are combined and established as the three times. Among them, for example, a sprout is the present, the part that has the cause of the sprout but has not yet arisen is the future, and the destruction of the sprout is the past, so the future is the former and the past is the latter. The second is: Without depending on the past, it is impossible for those two to be established. Therefore, the present and future times also exist. If it is said that the past depends on the other two times, but those two do not depend on the past. Without depending on the past, it is impossible for those two times to be established, because the past is the establishment of a certain present as the past, so the present directly depends on it, and therefore the future also indirectly depends on the past. Neither dependence nor non-dependence on the past is established by its own nature, therefore the present and future times are also not existent by their own nature. The second is: Through this sequential manner, the other two are disturbed. As mentioned before, the other two times depend on the past.
