That is, in order to be free from bondage. In this way, anything that is in a certain state should not become a bondage, because nothing is inherently a bondage, including close acceptance. If, like an iron chain, there are attachments, etc. that bind before the bound, then it is unreasonable for any bound to depend on the binding at that time. Because the bound does not exist at that time, the binder and the bound are not related. The reason is that for the bound that is essentially different from the binder, there is no need to bind again. The remaining part of the refutation here is to transform the views such as "gone and not gone" and refute them, and it should be shown in this way. For the time being, the bound will not bind. And so on, it should be combined. The second is: For the time being, the bound will not be liberated. The unbound will not be liberated either. If the bound is being liberated, then bondage and liberation will occur at the same time. and so on. If liberation exists inherently, then the bound will not be liberated, because liberation does not exist inherently, because it is bondage itself. This is universal, if bondage and liberation exist inherently, then they should exist separately at the same time. Moreover, for a person who is not bound by afflictions, liberation will not exist inherently, because he himself is liberation. This is universal, if liberation binds, then Arhats will also be bound. If, like bondage, liberation also exists in an essentially established way, it is unreasonable, because bondage and liberation will occur at the same time. The third is: I enter Nirvana without taking. Will Nirvana become mine? Like this, those who are attached, their attachment is a huge close grasping. For the place where Nirvana is not produced, the elimination of Samsara does not exist either. So, what is Samsara for it? and so on. Those who want liberation will think, when will Nirvana become mine? If Nirvana exists inherently, it is unreasonable, because with the essential view of self and mine, I will not be reborn again and enter Nirvana. Will Nirvana become mine? Like this, what those who want liberation are attached to is close grasping, that is, the collection of destruction.

Because this is a great view. As long as clinging to self is not abandoned, striving to attain liberation is meaningless, because liberation must be realized by destroying the object of attachment to self. Because, for that ultimate reality which generates nirvana, that is, without fabrication; eliminating samsara, that is, without exhaustion, one should think: What is there to be abandoned in samsara that is established by its own nature? What is there to be attained in nirvana that is also established by its own nature? It is not reasonable to investigate in this way. Because the samsara to be abandoned and the nirvana to be attained are the same in being devoid of inherent existence. The second is the scriptures such as "Subduing the Maras". The third is the commentary on the sixteenth chapter called "Examination of Bondage and Liberation". Secondly, to refute the proofs of the inherent existence of bondage and liberation, there are three parts: explaining the text of the treatise, combining it with the scriptures, and indicating the title. First, there are two parts: the opponent's argument and the answer. First, there are two parts: the distinction between virtue and non-virtue, and the method of abandoning permanence and annihilation. First, there are two parts: the general distinction between virtuous and non-virtuous minds, and the explanation of the detailed classification of actions. First: "Well subduing oneself, benefiting others, whatever loving-kindness, that is Dharma, that is the seed of fruits in this and other lives." The mind that well subdues killing and so on, and the mind that benefits others through the four means of attraction, and whatever mind of loving-kindness that focuses on friends and so on, all of these are the subject, are virtuous dharmas, because they are the seeds that produce desirable results of maturation in this life and in other lives. Second, there are two parts: brief indication and detailed explanation. First: "The actions of the supreme sage are said to be intention and thought. The distinctions of those actions are proclaimed in various ways." The Teacher, the supreme sage, spoke of actions as having two fundamental divisions, namely intention and thought. The distinctions, that is, the divisions, of those two actions are fully proclaimed, that is, explained, in various ways. Second, there are two parts: dividing from two into three, and from three
